We just adopted Duke, a lemon and white Basset hound. Eddie was the first to greet us when we walked in. When we saw Duke, we immediately wanted to play with him. The staff took us to a large area where my two kids and I could pet him. We never felt rushed or pressured to adopt him during the hour we played with him. Once we decided to move forward with the adoption, Eddie was very helpful, guiding us through the process and helping us gather all the included items like a kennel and supplies. We were even shown pictures of the sire, dam, and the breeder and his family. I was able to do my own research, confirming that it was not a puppy mill or backyard breeder. When it was time to leave, we went through basic puppy safety and education, signed some paperwork, and left with our freshly bathed buddy and a bunch of goodies. Petland isn’t ‘cheap,’ but I believe it was worth it for our new family member, especially considering all the extras like free neutering, microchipping, and supplies. I can’t speak for all locations, but the West Wichita store is under new management, and it shows. We’re thankful for the smooth and hassle-free experience.

This place is under new ownership, and so far it’s changed for the better! It’s getting upgraded and looks like there are some new and familiar faces. I love all the new puppies to play with!

Shianne and Emma were very helpful in this experience for us. This is my first time coming here and they were very welcoming! We most definitely aren’t leaving sad like we thought because our original plan didn’t work out. But they made sure we are walking out the door happy as can be. We truly appreciate them

I purchased what I believed to be a purebred Boston Terrier for a high price at Petland West Wichita, I contacted AKC later down the line and they informed me the dog is not in fact a purebred Boston when they rejected my application. Petland Wichita provided to me a 4-generation AKC pedigree and several other documents claiming this dog to be a purebred Boston Terrier. They're selling dogs this way. Petland is a scam.

To make things worse, I filed a claim and oh boy, have fun with that. They'll tell you about how ownership changed recently (and I'm sure it did as it's apart of their buisness' strategy). They'll say they are not responsible for the problems created from their business' lies and scheming.

If you file a similar claim you will get the work around and be passed off. This is a disgusting business model and it will be taken down regardless of ownership groups.

For now I say this: Shop reputable breeders and keep your dollars away from this place!
