Went to get some small aquarium supplies for a Betta fish. Ted, an employee at this location, absolutely went more than above and beyond to help me in my journey to setup a living aquarium space! I was provided with knowledge, friendly and prompt service and even further provided with resources to expand my knowledge base. I could tell he was in love with what he did on the daily and loved to spread that enthusiasm to others! I simply cannot recommend enough this location as all the passionate animal lovers (cleverly disguised as employees) are practically beating down the door to help you set up whatever project you can dream up!

Literally anything you need for your dog can be found here. The food selection is amazing, so you should fine cheap to quality food with ease. I think "size should fit all" is a good way to look at the accessories selection. Small dogs may require searching online, but medium and large dogs will have no problems with the selection. Look for events and Kitty and K-9 Connection to adopt your next pet.

Just when you thought the days of fabulous service that truly exceed your expectations are gone forever, we met Dave Gillespie at the Petco in Anchorage. In this day of online chatbots for customer service, redundancies and the ever constant rotation of short time workers and outsourced services, I was AMAZED by what Dave did! We were in Anchorage with our dog from Las Vegas and had just gotten married on the glaciers. It was the day to fly back to our home with our beloved dog when when we realised late in the day, a few hours before the flight, that somehow, we no longer had the screws and bolts to reassemble our 57 lb doggy carry crate. We ran to the nearest Petco -- with the hope of just buying a new crate (hoping they had one big enough) (a $200+ expenditure) and we were met immediately by Dave who showed us the crates. I was grateful that at least Petco carried the inventory (not all Petco locations do these days without a preorder online!) so i breathed a sigh of relief -- As i was looking at the crates, Dave engaged me in a few basic questions about our travels and we then told him that feeling rather silly, we actually had a crate but not bolts or screws to affix the top to bottom -- and he then on his own initiative, said " oh, you have a crate and you just need the screws and bolt?" to which i said yes , and he then replied "well., I have some for you.... come with me" and as i stood there mouth open in amazement, he led us to the training area (he is actually a dog trainer), opened up a drawer, and there they were, a bag full of bolts, screws, nuts,, (i guess they've standardised these things for dog crates). He told us he assembles all the crates for store demo and there are always extra nuts/bolts, so he just keeps them on the side in his little training drawer ... for if they are ever needed.
I WAS shocked! I had not even bothered to ask if we can buy these things when i walked in because i have never seen them sold....
Call it serendipity, angel spirit guides, or just plain old fashion "let's not constantly throw stuff away perfectly good stuff"mentality, DAVE SAVED the day.
He clocked out soon after and I thank our lucky stars that he was there just at the right time and that it was HE who we met in our hour of need.
FABULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE, SMART AND GREAT GUY. Thank you so much Dave. YOU ARE THE BEST. You should be promoted to management and get more duties so you can share your wisdom and know how with your colleagues.

This was the first time I had taken Max to the groomer. I rescued Max about 1 month ago. He is 125lb white German Shepherd. He has a very good temperament, however he was anxious when we walked in. The Lady that took care of Max was very professional and kind. I could tell she was very passionate about animals and took exceptional care of Max. Max looks great. Thanks for taking care of Max

I had my wallet stolen with all my credit cards cash and every form of ID and the manager told me there's was nothing they could do and the other manager could get the footage on camera on Monday 2 days later.. but to my AMAZEMENT the cleaning crew found it all intact under a fixture I was told I tries multiple times to give them half the cash in my wallet they absolutely refused. Super sweet but I will be sending pizza to the store next Saturday hopefully it gets to the wonderful lady in the picture on her shift too. It was a Halloween miracle!!! Thank u Petco

Brittany was our groomer today and was great. She was very patient with our anxious husky. June looks so great - she was deshed and brushed out. We have a whole new dog now!! Thank you Brittany! We will be coming back!
