My wife and I had a very good experience with Personable Pets. Sharon was great to work with. We opted to go with private in-home sessions because of an issue we were having with one of our dogs (8-years old) and our newly acquired Golden Retriever pup that was only 12-weeks old. Older dog would literally go into devil dog mode and attack the pup, I mean with teeth digging in and wanting to kill it. After a couple of sessions, we had these two walking together, running around in the back yard together, and even in the same room without any attacks.
We also took the pup to their facility which gave her exposure to other pups for some socializing skills as well as further training.
To sum up, as we told Sharon at end of our last session, the training was more for the humans than the dog(s). We learnt some real valuable lessons which we continue to use and will do so going forward. This was worth every penny. Lastly, its nice to know that if we need any help or suggestions that Sharon is just a call away.
We highly recommend these folks as they are very knowledgably about the various breeds, offer many solutions, and are very passionate about what they do. You can't go wrong with Personable Pets Dog Training.

We would strongly recommend Personable Pets. Our 7 month old, Maremma/Aussie mix pup has been a client in the puppy privates class for a few months and we have seen a remarkable change in his behavior and level of obedience. We saw a difference, literally, after the first visit from our trainer, Christiana. She is amazing. Her ability to see and catch the slightest nuances from our puppy and teach us how to fix them with positive coaching is remarkable. Her gentle demeanor is a key part of her calm presence with our dog and he responds so quickly to her commands. We actually have a multi dog family and she has taught all three dogs how to live in, much needed, harmony. (This is something we never thought possible.)
We would recommend Christiana and Personable Pets to anyone desiring results. Our puppy is becoming exactly what we hoped he would become when we brought him home to be a part of our family. We are truly blessed for having met and worked with Christiana.

Highly recommend Personable Pets. Sharon and Ana are very knowledgeable in all aspects of dog training. We were taught how dogs learn and respond to our positive rewards. Our dog came so far in training within a few weeks. Sharon was very responsive when we had questions outside of class which helped so much when we were struggling. She was so professional and patient in helping resolve training issues. Another big plus was the small class size.

She is an awesome trainer and available fir questions when they come up. She does a fantastic job in educating pet owners and enabling them to train their dogs with patience and clear advice.

We have purchased a second lab for our home, to be a service dog for our daughter. Getting him through the puppy stage has been VERY challenging. Sharon has been able to break it down step by step to help us not only get his energy level balanced, but to make him into a "thinking" dog, and not only a pet. We're on our third dog using Personable Pets for training and it's always an amazing experience. Enjoyable for people and dogs, super helpful and we all learn lots of positive ways to have a great dog in the house and on a leash out in public. No harsh methods, I can't say enough good things about the fantastic training they provide. Highly recommended for puppies as well as older dogs like ours that we adopted as an adult.
