Leslie was recommended by my veterinarian for my shy and fearful dog. We worked with her once a week for around six months. Leslie is punctual, professional, calm, and extremely knowledgeable. She showed me numerous different ways that I could work with my dog, and have fun with him at the same time. I originally thought that my pet would be unresponsive, and avoid treats and the exercises, but with Leslie’s guidance, he was responsive and eager to work and play with us. Leslie is low key and softly spoken, and she was exactly the right match for us. She completely understands canine behavior and gently observes before deciding on her best approach. I highly recommend Leslie for dog or cat training, and I’m happy to say what a positive influence she was for my little dog.

Leslie is a kind and patient teacher. I consider myself a well educated dog guardian and have a lot of experience with training my dogs on my own but I felt a bit overwhelmed with how to teach cooperative care b/c i didn't know where to focus my efforts. Leslie class gave me the structure to know what was most important to begin with!

Leslie did an amazing job helping us to introduce a dog to our cat. She is so knowledgeable and gentle with the animals. She gave us simple and effective instructions, as well as tips and suggestions for many other questions we had about our animals. Highly recommended!

We have been working with Leslie from Paws First for several months. Neither my husband or myself are terribly enthusiastic about dog training but Leslie was wonderful! We found her to be very responsive to our needs and ability in working with our dog Bella. Walking Bella is now a much better experience. We are also making progress on Bella being less robust in how she greets guests. When we had questions Leslie was always very thoughtful about how to solve behavioral problems. Really appreciated that she didn't just give us standard answers but she thought about the best approach to issues we were having with Bella. I would highly recommend Leslie for any issues you might be having with your pet.

We worked with Leslie on two different occasions, and both experiences were so positive! The first time we were having trouble with our young daughter being too rough with our family dog, leading to growling and marking. Leslie helped us out with resources to teach our daughter why certain things she was doing were problematic. She also worked with our dog and daughter together to reinforce positive behaviors and interactions. It really made a difference and helped us in a difficult situation. Leslie also helped us with training three new kittens! Again, she taught our whole family how to teach our kittens and reinforce positive behavior from a very early age. She also gave us really helpful tips for taking them to the vet and using their carriers. I highly recommend Paws First for any of your dog/cat training needs.
