My daughter and I were traveling through Southeast Colorado the second week of January when we were caught in winter weather. We stopped at this hotel in Cheyenne Wells to hunker down until the weather subsided so we could continue to our destination. We were pleased with the accommodations. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. This is a family owned, small business. They went above and beyond our expectations when later after I left, I discovered we left some of our personal belongings behind. I called them and they mailed back our items to our home. What big corporate chain hotel would do that? I would think you would never see those items again.

I was put in room 106 a couple of days ago (Saturday). I came back on Tuesday and the husband of the wonderful lady checked us in. He put us back in room 106. The room hasn’t been cleaned since I was here last Saturday night. The candy bar and water bottle were still in trash. The bed was exactly as I left it. The room was not the cleanest on Saturday. I talked to the wife Hannah and she is the one cleaning. It is under new ownership. Here is what Hannah’s husband said when I told him the room was not clean. “I don’t care”. I asked for his wife and he said it doesn’t matter it is their personal business how they keep their rooms. The new room had pistachios, front loops, Pennie’s etc all over the floor. I tried to take a shower and there was ZERO hot water. SHAME ON THEM! It is absolutely disgusting and he CLEARLY doesn’t care. Doubt they will stay in business long. Hannah…good luck. With a husband not caring you will need LOTS of it!

My son was contracted to work in the area and had to find a place that was close by and didn't cost a fortune. We looked at the rooms ahead of time and Hannah, the owner was very sweet and accommodating, showing us different rooms. My son did not have any issues staying there. He said the room was clean, the A/C worked great and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of room for him to spread out and prepare some meals in the room. There was breakfast in the morning that started early enough for workers and plenty of hot coffee. Hannah kindly let him use the onsite laundry and did not charge any extra. That was a huge bonus because otherwise the closest laundry was in Burlington, 45 min. away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're looking for extended stays. They offer paying by the month, week or night and are very reasonable.

This hotel was affordable and adequate for a place to sleep. The room was fairly big for a hotel room, which was nice. The beds and towels were clean. The floors were mostly clean other than some stains and a few dead moths in the corner of the room. The TV didn't work (perhaps the person at the front desk would have gotten it to work if we had asked). The bathroom was extremely small, and there wasn't anywhere other than the toilet or the floor to put clothes while showering. The ceiling in the shower leaked. There was a breakfast area with a sign giving the hours that breakfast was served, but in the morning the only things we found were some cereal that looked pretty old and some half-used cartons of milk and juice in a fridge. We did feel safe, but we would only stay here again if there were no other options available.

I was very surprised by not only the friendly service that I was greeted with upon entering, but the cleanliness of the rooms as well! This little hotel may not look like much yet (I guess it just switched bands recently) but I’d be willing to bet that it will be booming before too long. The level of comfort I felt during my stay definitely had me sold! I will be making another trip that way very soon and I actually look forward to another stay there. Thanks Trail Inn Hotel, keep up the great work!

My wife and I landed in Cheyenne Wells on a temporary job for 2 to 3 weeks and the Oyo Hotel (Trail Motel) was the only one in town and as we entered our room we were pleasantly surprised. The room was more than spacious enough for what it was, very clean and well kept. The office lady, Hannah, has been more than helpful and friendly as well as her husband in terms of accommodation and just really great hosts. This town is small and there aren’t any other options but I would stop through here just to rent the room for a night if I were to ever be back in the area. 10/10 highly recommend 👍

My friend and I were on a road trip driving on 40. We got caught in a snow storm and had to get a hotel for the night. Thankfully they had vacancy for us! The rooms were comfortable, and Hannah, the owner, was so nice and super helpful! Thanks yall

This hotel was absolutely amazing. Owners are so hospitable. Being in such a small town was amazing to have family service that cared about our family just as there own. Hot breakfast sausage biscuit eggs and hash browns were served as well as bagels fruit and donuts. We paid 70 no tax and still got all that service
