Yucaipa pet owners BEWARE! I gave them every opportunity to fix this before writing this review. I even told them I have 4 dogs and I was looking for a local vet to bring all my dogs to. Here's what happened: I brought my dog in for an eye injury. The doctor presecibed "Oculenis" eye drops. He gave me a written prescription and told me I could get it at Costco. I checked Costco, Sams Club, Walgreens, Petco, Petsmart and it was impossible for me to find locally. After spending 4 hours searching locally for the eye drops, in desperation, I ordered it through their online pharmacy, which would take about a week to receive, which I was not happy with, because my dog would suffer for a week. Imagine taking yourself to the emergency room for a bad infection, and the ER doctor prescribes antibiotics you have to wait a week for. I asked the receptionist if they could recommend substitute eye drops I could get locally, even over the counter, until my prescribed eye drops arrived in the mail, to prevent a week of my dog suffering or developing a worse condition. She told me I would need to bring my dog back and pay a $55 fee for my dog to be re-examined. This made no sense because the day before I paid nearly $300 for an eye exam. The receptionist had zero cares about my concern and deflected all my questions and refused to have the "owner" or any doctor call me, and had the attitude of "sorry, can't help you". She said the doctor that saw my pet was a "relief" doctor and cannot get in contact with him. To make matters worse, the receptionist had the nerve to refuse to approve the online order if I didn't return the original written prescription they gave me. Really? They are eye drops, not narcotics. I'm a lawyer. Did she think I was going to get a double prescription of eye drops and risk my law license? All this could have been avoided if they simply said "we will be happy to have the doctor call you to let you know if their are any alternative eye drops you can get locally, since the ones we prescribed are impossible to find". Side note: All other vets I've been to have made a followup call to see how my pet is doing. It's been 12 days since my pet was seen (as of the date of this edit), and I have received no followup call. What makes this more evil, is the receptionist didn't care that my dog would be suffering for a week while waiting for the eye drops in the mail. All I asked for was for them to recommend an over the counter eye drop while I waited a week for the prescription to arrive in the mail, because they prescribed something that was impossible to find locally, after telling me it's available at Costco, but instead of doing something so simple, they tried to squeeze another $55 out of me, even thought 24 hours earlier I paid almost $300 for a full exam.

SHOCKING: Public records show that both Oak Glen Animal Hospital and Green Valley Veterinary Clinic were sold to a huge corporation / vet network called PETVET CARE CENTERS (CALIFORNIA), INC. If you look at their website, they buy small practices for cash, so vet hospitals such as these two, appear to be a small family run business, but are really owned by a huge corporation. No wonder I had such crappy service. Do your due diligence before choosing a vet, please.

I recently lost my fur baby. Before he passed, we took him to this hospital. The doctor tried to prolong his life with medicine, but God had other plans. We took him back for cremation services, and they were very caring. I went to pick up his ashes today, and they were very nice. They game us a card signed by all employees, a print of his paw and his ashes in a beautiful urn wrapped in a beautiful bag. It was very hard to go and get his ashes, but the care they gave to us and our baby dog is priceless.
Thank you so much for being there for us. May God bless you.
Sincerely,
Sandra DeBisschop.

I have no stars for this facility. I had to mark one so I could post this.
Way over priced to a degree! The person I delt with who was supposed to be a Dr...... admitidly did not know how to do that procedure. PLUS it was going to cost well over $2,000. Admittedly didn't know how to read an x-ray and suggested that if this procedure didn't work that I consider an amputation on my 2yr old cat. Maybe the other actual Dr.'s know their business... they are definetly outrages in what they charge for services. So sad. I will stop there.
Be aware

Dr C. Is the best!! We had to say bye to our beautiful old boy last week and Dr. C made an awful day a bit better. She’s so knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. In the week leading up to that horrible day, I couldn’t be there, but she sent my husband home with notes on all the paperwork so he could help me understand what was going on and what everything meant as far as bloodwork, labs, etc. The vet tech left a little to be desired and seemed clueless to the fact that we were there to put our boy to rest the day of, but Dr. c was absolutely INCREDIBLE! So glad she’s our vet. We’ve also seen Dr. schilling and she was also great! We have another dog that is a bit apprehensive about being at the vet and she made him feel calm and came up with a great plan for future visits to put him at ease! These two woke. Are absolutely amazing and I would recommend them to anyone! Honesty, compassionate, and knowledgeable! And we don’t have to deal with an insanely busy, crowded waiting room whenever we’re there! These folks are wonderful!

I had initially hoped to give this place a higher rating because I believe the dog received adequate treatment. However, I was disappointed by the fact that the initial and follow-up check-ups were never conducted in front of us. As animals cannot speak for themselves, I was seeking exceptional treatment rather than just good treatment. Furthermore, they also forgot about us in the room for a few hours, which added to my overall dissatisfaction.

1st appointment, husband waited an hour and a half not to be seen. He couldn't wait any longer due to previous engagement. He had to leave.
2nd appointment, they called us to reschedule next day stating it will be with another vet tech. Vet tech did NOT examine our dog in front of my husband. Instead they took him away and came back to explain issue (ear infection). Received medication which did take care of the problem.
3rd appointment follow up, we got confirmation text message at noon on Saturday stating our appointment time was at 9 on Monday. Went in at 9 on Monday to be told vet would be in at 10 and they moved our appointment (no notification). Had to leave dog due to conflicting schedule (you know people work). We never received any type of communication from them all day regarding our dog's progress. We finally had to called them at 3 and was told dog is fine and ready to be picked up.

We will not be returning. We will not be recommending this animal hospital to any pet owner. Their wait time, examinations, and communication is very unprofessional. Too bad we read the reviews after taking our dog in to be seen.

We had to say goodbye to my best friend Venti recently. He had declined rapidly and wasn't strong enough for a last trip to our beloved long time vet back in Chino, where we used to live. We are new to the area and I was grateful Oak Glen was able to fit us in same day so he did not have to suffer. I usually don't leave reviews but the overall rating for this compassionate and kind veterinarian and her office seems inaccurate so I felt I should offer my experience for the community to consider when trying to find care for their loved ones. Love you forever, Vent.
