I’m always happy with my dog’s haircuts and grooming at Nikki’s pet spa. He is very afraid and as he gets older he often pees himself at groomers and vets and the front desk people are always so kind about it. Groomers are careful with his skin tags and do a very even job with his fur. He comes out smelling so good and they always give him a handsome tie to wear home!

My long haired cat had very matted fur. Nikkis shaved him, trimmed his claws, cleaned his ears and gave him a bath. Very happy with their service and now I have a mini lion!

Took my 3.5 year old dog here since they offer asap grooming. My dog is a nervous wreck at the groomer and each time we've taken her somewhere else she's ended up with a fever for a couple days.

Nikki's was so good with her. We ended up having to pull a u turn and return for something after we'd left, and she had ZERO problem going back in. She wasn't shaking, no trying to go back out the door, no climbing up my leg or whining. She was 100% comfortable, plus...she looked and smelled amazing! 100% 10/10 take your pet here. Call ahead, they're busy for a reason!!

I’m really happy I finally found a groomer that did an excellent job. I had a hard time trying to groom my dog my self because she is old and very nervous dog and very sensitive. Finally someone was able to help it took two people they told me but with lots of patience and caring…..thank you!

I have never left a Google review before, but I think that this place is a little overrated. I want to be as reasonable as possible and give the staff credit for a job mostly well done. Our regular mobile groomer had a medical issue and couldn't groom our two dogs, so we decided on Nikki's Pet Spa as a temporary alternative, as we have a good friend who has gotten her dogs groomed here for years. They do offer mobile grooming, but didn't have an appointment for quite far out and we had already postponed the grooming for a month in the hopes that we would be able to use our regular groomer. So, on to our experience. We have two senior dogs with arthritis, so needless to say they need to be handled gently. I had a low dose pain medication ready just in case there was discomfort post-grooming. I somewhat expected that we would need it so I wasn't too worried about it. Scheduling the appointment was easy and the staff very friendly, taking notes about our dogs, their arthritis, etc. I hate to misspell a name, but Jody (Jodi?) was very attentive, and so kind post-grooming in offering to help us to the car. The first red flag for me when I scheduled was that even though they could groom the dogs at the same time, they would need FOUR hours. Their reasoning was that they didn't know how long other pets would take, but they have been in business for decades so I'd think they'd have a fairly good idea of that by now. The second red flag was that when I mentioned that we don't kennel our dogs and that I preferred to wait with them until their groomers were ready, they acted as though that was a strange request and had to put me on hold to get an answer, which was yes. The third red flag was that when I got there, after reiterating my notes, they proceeded to take my dogs straight back to a "boarding room," which is basically a 5 x 5 kennel. I decided not to protest. I had forgotten the dogs' blankets, but they did have some to put in the room. I wanted to meet the groomers, especially because the actual grooming area is behind a window with a giant fan in it that prevented me from seeing it well. I decided not to push the issue — I felt fairly at ease regarding their years of experience. They gave me a more accurate quote once they saw the dogs, which I appreciated. They also offered a tooth brushing for $5, so I thought, "why not?" No issues there, and I will be purchasing the toothpaste they used. Not long after I dropped them off, I received a phone call letting me know that one of the dog's muzzles was a bit matted and could either be dematted or shaved. My understanding is that dematting can be an uncomfortable and time-consuming experience, so I chose the latter in the interest of comfort. I am so used to having my dogs right by the house with the mobile groomer, where I can come right out and address anything that comes up, so I worried and stressed for four AND A HALF (what?) hours. Our regular mobile groomer does a great job grooming of both dogs in approximately two hours! When I came in to pick them up, they looked very good. However, one of my dogs was squirming out of my arms so I put him down and he ran around and around (not normal for him). The price was right about what was quoted, so no issues there. When we got home, the dogs were VERY energetic and squirrelly (not normal for them — they're normally exhausted and go right to sleep!). I don't know how long they were in the boarding room, so I thought maybe they were just excited not to be cooped up. No need for pain medication — yet. While one of our dogs turned out fine, the one that had been especially squirrelly started exhibiting strange (for him) behavior. He was pacing and whimpering, digging (not normal for him) and rubbing his head over and over into the couch. He would curl up only to jump up and pace the house, hunched over. I have never seen him so uncomfortable and he DOES NOT whimper. So, I administered pain medication and it still took him a couple of hours to settle down. I don't know if he's injured in some way — vet visit in short order.
