Been calling for months and mentioning the fact that I have branches in front of my house that need to be shredded every time I go pay the water bill. Every worker I speak with says I’m on the list for pick up, then why haven’t my branches been picked up? My neighbors tree fell two days ago and that same day the city was here to pick up theirs. Honestly ridiculous!

Was overcharged on my bill. Just exactly how did I go from on average 4-6 thousand gallons of water to 17,000 gallons of water in a month! That’s almost tripled. I called to inquire about the bill and Sue was completely unprofessional. She over talks you and will insist that it’s the toilet leaking and suggested I get a plumber. Well I hired 2 different plumbers at my expense and both of them told me I have NO LEAKS ANYWHERE! When I told the water company that I had no leaks and that I had 2 plumbers to confirm that Sue kept saying I don’t have any leaks that I know of and that maybe my toilets sealed itself. I mentioned to the plumbers what she had said and they even said Sue and the water company is full of it because there is no way I used 17,000 gallons of water in a month and there are no leaks in the house. Sue needs to retire or find someone else to play with because I am not the one. Good thing I recorded her because from what I was told the way she handled the situation is not the correct way. But if it was their bill they would complain too. Even the mayors office said that is not right and gave me instructions to submit a claim. Do better New Chicago Water Works!!

honestly i would move in a heartbeat not to deal with some of these ladies, the fact they are so rude for no reason and completely un helpful is insane. it's a public service job that should all be done online to cut this crap out. wasted tax money on a very rude staff exspecially kathy. so rude.threaten to cut me off if i don't pay in person while im at work. all over an honest mistake with a check and she treats me like a second rate citizen. i'd move anywhere where its not new chicago water just my opinion

I'm convinced all the town workers hate their life and job. This town is run so poorly and they don't care about their citizens. If you're thinking about moving here JUST DON'T. Not to mention they still run their town hall like this the 80s, all paper bills and they'll make your "due date" for your water bill on the weekend when they're CLOSED?

There’s never a on time bill to pay it on time. They’re very outdated. Sick of having to go to pay my bill. They can come up with a service to notify residents of outages but not pay bill. My bill is some how the EXACT same charge every month…..ever since I’ve moved in a year ago. Some months we definitely use less. Some months we use more. I don’t get it. Also, rude. You can’t even get a greet from most of the elderly people in there….. and they’re ALL elderly. Let’s also talk about when I 1st moved in there was no trash cans. I guess they call telling me ā€œ you need to talk to your landlord & tell them to tell the last tenants to find them.ā€ Handling MY situation. So ridiculous. I eventually got cans 3 weeks later.

Folks, it's time to get out of the stone age and make another way to pay other than driving to your office every month. It's literally 2025, time to behave as such...

Zero Stars there methods are completely outdated with the times. Paid my bill and they disconnected me. Water manager Alicia Barbara acts like it’s my fault they did not do there part and cross my name of the list. Bills always delivered late so you never know what your balance really is, you can only pay at the office no online pay. My bill has doubled in over the three years here. The women In This office all well over fifty and need to retire very rude and cranky all the time.

Small town, small office, small staff, who handle everything from water main breaks to dog tags. They don't pick up garbage; that's not their job. But if you need to know about ordinances, they can tell you. If you notice that the trash has been picked up along your street, or see that digital sign by the fire station and those electric car charger stations in front of Town Hall, 10-1 someone in that office had something to do with it. We've been here for going on 20 years and have no complaints.
