The worst experience I have ever had at a veterinary hospital. I brought my cat in because she had been limping. They were unable to figure out what was wrong with her foot but suggested I get her vaccines done. They gave her 3 vaccines which made her sick and put her into kidney failure. Long story short she is going to die. I took a perfectly well cat into the vet for a foot injury and now $1000 later, she is going to die and she is still limping! They took no responsibility for the situation. They recommended she go to the vet hospital but I do not have an additional $2000+ on top of the $1000 I had already paid in order to hopefully fix her. SHE HAS KIDNEY FAILURE! No recommendations for home tx were given. They offered no compensation. I asked for a repeat of sub q fluids since she saw the Veterinarian yesterday but they would not give them unless we paid for another vet exam. She just saw them yesterday. Why would they not give them? They know her condition! They know she needs fluids. No one at that office is concerned about my animal or cares.

My American Cocker Spaniel hurt his left rear leg on the 7th of this month. I tried to get in every where in Napa an Cordelia for help .
I called a friend and she helped me with giving me names of places there.
I went to Napa River Pet Hospital wit him and Meet the nicest doctor and others there That took us in with just a small wait.
My dog had all kinds of x-rays to see the damage he had done.
Dr. John Moody took care of him an also told me what I would need to do.
Two days later after going through places to take him, I called back to Napa River an asked them if they would give me a referral to UC Davis . He now has appt with them to have it taken care of. I can not think him an their business for all the help they gave me.

Good experience with the doctors apart from spending the money, but I understand that's how it is. However, I do have to say the front receptionists have terrible attitudes. You are never greeted at the door, they hardly acknowledge you, and whenever i see them they are on their phone. I know other people who have had the same experience with these girls. Not sure how they continue to be employed based off their attitude. However, there is one girl who at the napa west pet hospital who was truly nice to us. I'm not sure of her name, I think it was Natalie.

There is a decent veterinarian, but overall this place earns 1 star due to assistants who treat dogs and humans disrespectfully. There are people who work there who genuinely don’t care if they traumatize a dog. I don’t want to imagine how dogs are treated behind closed doors at Napa River Pet Hospital. I took my dog here for a year. There were multiple red flags. I have learned my lesson and won’t ever return.
Also, the day after I had them put my credit card info on file, I got a slew of unapproved charges from scam websites I have never visited.

Bad experience. My dog was unnecessarily traumatized by vet tech. When I requested to avoid working with this particular vet tech, I received hostility so I avoid this hospital. Very high priced. Has had internal upsets with all vets quitting. Weird place.

I had a medical emergency and another major health issue with my 14 year old Cavalier last year and Napa River Pet Hospital was the only pet hospital (even my normal vet) that, without hesitation, helped my dog. Dr. Moody was able to diagnose both problems and the medication and diet they provided not only healed my dog but he his now more active and healthy than he’s been in years. I won’t be going anywhere else. I highly recommend this pet hospital. It’s also very convenient that they have another office on the other side of town (Napa West Pet Hospital).

Raven got ahold of some rat poison. Called Napa River Pet Hospital and they took her in immediately. Their service was swift, thorough, professional and caring. Thanks so much Napa River Pet Hospital​...Raven is doing great!

I have an appointment for my pet today and asked to reschedule because my daughter is a running fever but they said sorry you’ll still get charged $75 as your cancelling fee so I guess I’m bringing my sick kid running a 102 fever into the vet today. After this, I will never be back to this vet. They misdiagnosed my dog last year after paying $800 and I didn’t write a review then but is the last straw. Horrible customer service.
