Oct 2018: Sarah provides thoughtful and insightful strategies for each individual dog in her classes. After training in scent work for several months, my dog competed very successfully in her first trial. I now have a new puppy and his favorite class is Sarah’s!

**Edit-Oct 2022: Sarah gave Cider such a strong foundation in scent work, three years later, Cider is excelling in the upper levels! Sarah makes classes and learning fun and Cider's work ethic and enthusiasm has translated into other performance sports and conformation. Her continued support to past and present clients is to be commended and is appreciated.

This little girl was behind in potty training at 9 months, nothing I tried was working. I called Sarah Akana and arranged for Boarding School which wasn't cheap, but I found out it was worth every penny and More!
Sarah also trained my puppy to jump in the car, which with my back problems....
I got her home and she peed on the kitchen floor but it wasn't really her fault.
Now I walk her after breakfast every day until she runs out of pee, which takes about 15 blocks but we've gotten in the groove walking for about an hour.
Today, someone asked if I could train her dog when she saw we walking Zelda with the leash in my open hand. I'd love to, but I'm already walking my 2 dogs for an hour each day. We haven't yet learned to walk the 2 together, but I'm trying to work that in.

Sarah quickly knows, loves, and recognizes the gifts of your dog, using the Karen Pyror method of reinforcing the behaviour you want, which brings those gifts and more to fruition. Our lives, two and four footed, are richer, happier because of Sarah's work.

My dogs and I absolutely love My Nosey K9! There are very few people that I trust with my dogs and Sarah is one of them. I've been involved with dogs for the last fifteen years and have trained my dogs for conformation and obedience, and have never found a trainer in Humboldt County that I recommended as highly.

She's very articulate and knowledgeable and helps me be a better handler. Her training is focused on building trust between the dog and the owner. Five Stars all the way.
