My Clever Canine Dog and Puppy Training -

I wanted to wait a year before leaving a review to see if the training’s effects would last—and I’m happy to say they absolutely have. Pascal, my Mini Aussie, is an amazing dog. Everyone who meets him, from trainers to fellow dog owners, comments on how well-rounded, confident, kind, and obedient he is. One of the most impressive things is how well-socialized Pascal is around other dogs. He understands and respects both human and canine boundaries, which makes him a joy to be around. His recall is excellent, he responds well to commands, understands that no is “no,” and he’s incredibly patient and communicative. Rachele and her team did a fantastic job. The commands they taught Pascal are ingrained in him, at least the ones we’ve consistently reinforced. He’s confident in public places, handles crowds, escalators, and even a plane ride like a pro. Pascal attended the “Grow With You” program at My Clever Canine when he was three months old, and we brought him back again at six months. Thanks to this early start, he’s had a great foundation in life, which is evident every day. As a Mini Aussie, his breed has some challenging qualities, like a bit of anxiety, but My Clever Canine brought out all of his best traits—loyalty, friendliness, eagerness to please, and intelligence. My Clever Canine Dog Training provided the perfect training and socialization for our shy, timid puppy. It was a bit of a challenge as she was not extremely food motivated! They were able to use their years of experience and knowledge (and high value treats) to keep her engaged and motivated to learn. They provided weekly updates on her progress. We were also trained and were able practice with her at their facility. We were taught the proper terminology and techniques to continue her training at home. We would highly recommend My Clever Canine Dog Training.

Well, as first time dog owners, we had no idea what we were in for. We very quickly realized that with two young boys and a puppy we needed help! and since there were not realistic options for the kids, we found Tim and Amy at My Clever Canine. Our girl is so great and we owe so much to them. Her puppy bitting was nipped in the bud and her ability recognize and follow commands has been top notch since her time at puppy and adolescent camp. And the best part? When we leave town, they take the best care of her that everytime we even pass the highway exit to their place, she’s overjoyed. It’s so wonderful having a second home where we know she’s loved and cared for (and her training is reinforced!) when we need it. She’s our best gal and we so appreciate Tim and Amy for taking the best care of her!

MCC is one of the best businesses I have dealt with. Very responsive and you get exactly what you pay for. Our three dogs so well behaved post training. A shout to the awesome trainers, Rachelle and Brigit. Highly recommend.

We’ve taken our labradoodle, Poppy, to My Clever Canine a few times for training and boarding, and always had a great experience. The off-leash 1 month training is especially effective, and has stuck with Poppy. It’s made having a dog so much more enjoyable, since we can give her some freedom, and have confidence that she’ll come when called. Poppy is very energetic and smart, and really needed some good solid training to start her off right, otherwise her chewing and jumping get her into trouble. Amy, Tim and their team are really kind and nice to work with, and have made a huge difference for our family! We continue to send Poppy for boarding and an occasional brush-up training.

We are blown away by the quality of the training provided by My Clever Canine and the great care they took of our pup! Our pomsky Plush was there for 6 weeks for a off leash program (May 2022). The team kept us updated while he was there (see some pics they sent us) and we were very well taught how to take over once he’ll be back home, we felt very confident and knowledgeable when Plush came back home. It’s awesome having a dog with a good recall, we now feel much more confident having him play in unfenced park or walk off leash. Can’t thank the team enough and in particular Emily!
