We're so happy we found Anna after moving to the East Bay. Our dog Leo is a slow-burner with new people and dogs, but Anna was fantastic with him from day 1, and was soon one of his top-people-of-all-time. She helped us find new ways to burn his energy, and to bond while having fun! Anna has been amazing in taking Leo on loose-leash hikes and strengthening his recall, getting him comfortable with crate time, and now muzzles are no big deal if needed in future. Anna's training is just as much about the ways that people can give clear and consistent cues that the dog responds to: I've learned a ton through this - and really appreciate all the sincere, thoughtful work she puts into the wellbeing of the dogs she works with. Full recommendation.

We worked with Anna for a few months, to train our puppy Plush the basics, help him to calm down and work on his recall.
Plush really loved working with Anna and made some progresses throughout the sessions.
We really appreciated Anna's kindness, care about our pups and patience.
She guided us during our first months with Plush and taught us several tips & exercises that we are still doing today with Plush.
She's also pretty available and flexible, very easy to work with!

Anna is wonderful!!! We started working with her when our pup, Beluga, was about 4 months old, and we're still working with Anna now that Beluga is almost 1! Through working with Anna, Beluga has grown in confidence and behavior, and we have become more confident with our behavior toward Beluga, too. We really love Anna's positive reinforcement approach and training philosophy.
Plus, Anna has become one of Beluga's favorite people! A few months ago, Beluga had a limp. My partner and I had to leave town for a weekend and we knew we needed to leave Beluga with someone who would be very attentive to her injury and who would show Beluga great care. We asked Anna to care for Beluga while we were out of town, because we trust Anna so deeply. She watched Beluga, and Beluga had an amazing weekend filled with enrichment activities and exercise that would not strain Beluga's limp. We can't recommend Anna enough!

The best dog trainer I have ever worked with! Anna started working with Charlie (my American Bully) and I when he was 13 weeks old. Anna is patient and kind, explaining things to us. Anna is very thoughtful in addressing learning needs and misbehavior. Anna went over and above to host puppy socials and make sure socialization was doable even in COVID.
Anna has worked with me across a few stages of Charlie's life. I am so blessed we found Anna, who in one session teaches Charlie things I tried for months to train! Anna employs a non-violent strength-based approach and created a very strong bond between my dog and I.
Anna is timely, communicative, affordable as well as she's just a nice person who is great to spend some time learning beside. 100% recommend Anna Wong and Mutts Have Fun!

Anna has been a fantastic help getting Margo ( 9 yr old grumpy mutt) and me on track for happier and easier vet visits. She has been extremely patient and creative and has really helped with developing a good cooperative care plan. I've been particularly impressed with how she has used Margo's own quirks and preferences to help us build a repertoire of helpful behaviors that have already come in super handy at vet visits. Margo has learned to willingly position herself in a "dock" position, where she is conveniently placed for various exams and pokes. She now wears her muzzle in various settings with minimal protest or stress and was already able to apply these skills successfully to get the vet care she needs. This is a huge leap for an extremely vet anxious dog. Anna has met both my training shortfalls and Margo's intensely opinionated and sassy nature with patience and humor and has been a ton of fun to work with. I am very invested in my dogs quality of life, and this includes a 100% commitment to positive reinforcement focused training and a rejection of any punishment or dominance focused training. It was a huge relief to find Anna, who shares the same values and shares my same delight and curiosity in meeting my pup where she is at during every session.

Drago, our 2-yr old puppy monster is refusing to grow up. Everyone who meets him, trainers included, comments on how intractably manic (but sweet, goofy and loveable) he is. Anna, his 3rd trainer, is a keeper! She has been working with us for over a year. She is very responsive and flexible in scheduling time and place. She is patient, nonjudgmental, and genuinely wants us all to thrive together and have fun. She evaluates the environments (home, work, and street), the lifestyles and personalities involved, and comes up with creative and workable solutions. Her intake was very in-depth and the subsequent report continues to be a valuable resource for us. As needed, she sends us post-training emails, and links to videos, books, articles, enrichment toys, and so on

Anna provides alternatives to shock collars, prong collars, and other coercive or painful methods, and she has enabled us to develop a better connection with and compliance from our dog. So far our specific goals have been: 1) use only training methods that are humane; 2) learn foundation behaviors, eg, solid recall, polite greeting, loose leash walking; 3) reduce his extreme reactivity to skateboards and scooters; and 4) foster a harmonious relationship between the dog and our two cats. She has a variety of tools in her toolbox; what we found particularly helpful was some of the “pattern games” from Leslie McDevitt’s Control Unleased program. Because of Anna’s comprehensive approach, she correctly identified that part of our dog’s mania was coming from his not getting enough sleep in the afternoon and she helped us come up with options for changing the dog’s environment so he could down-regulate and rest. We have received so much more from Anna than 1-hr sessions to teach our dog commands!

We needed Anna's help when we got a new Jindo mix recently. Despite having trained several of our other dogs, we couldn't get a handle on how best to train our stubborn and energetic new puppy. Through Anna's help, we were able to improve our boy's recall and walk behavior. As others note, she's personable, knowledgable, and truly loves the dogs she trains. We are grateful for her help.

We absolutely love working with Anna and can't recommend her highly enough! After a disappointing experience with a different local trainer, we found Anna and her passion shone through right from the initial phone call. Though she admitted her schedule was very busy, she LOVES working with puppies and managed to clear space in her schedule for our English cocker spaniel, Georgie, who was 9 weeks old at the time.
We started out with 3x a week sessions and around the 5-month mark, we decreased our sessions to once every two weeks or so...but we can't quit Anna! 1.5 years later, Anna takes our pup on a once-a-week enrichment hike, which is a mix of training and exercise. Not only does Georgie ADORE her, but Anna is so thoughtful and thorough in her analysis and advice. Anna really takes the time to listen and troubleshoot our issues, and coach us in finding customized solutions to improve our dog's behavior.
We have worked on everything from sit/stay/down and polite walking, playing with other dogs and recall to tricks, addressing problematic barking, and fun mental stimulation. Anna also is willing to offer us guidance by text or email in between sessions, which is super helpful when something comes up, and she always follows up with an email recap of what to work on (though sometimes I have to admit we were delinquent on our homework as it was a wealth of information!). Most recently, she has helped us welcome our first child to our family by training Georgie to wait outside the nursery and curb her barking whenever the doorbell rings or a delivery person comes to the house.
Finally, Anna is just a pleasure to be around. It feels like she is part of Georgie's family, and by extension, our family. She has become Georgie's fairy godmother! We feel so lucky that we found her!
