I recently moved to Glenwood and was looking for a new place to source food for my cat. Mountain Dog is such a gem! The gentleman who owns the shop is incredibly knowledgeable, not just about dog food, but also about cats, which I really appreciated. He was patient and took the time to help me switch up my cat’s food and offered recommendations based on what I used to source on the Font Range including raw food and probiotic supplements when she gets an upset tummy. While the store is more focused on dogs, there’s still a fantastic selection of cat products. I now get my raw cat food here and will definitely be back! Plus, the store has an inviting atmosphere and parking is super easy. It’s great and so important to support local businesses like this.

I've been exclusively coming to Mountain Dog since getting my little man almost 2 years ago. Mike from the beginning has always taken the time to walk through any questions, and is so so knowledgeable about animal health and all of his products. There's such variety of healthy food, treats, shampoos, pretty much anything else for your dog and all sorts of amazing raw options. Also, my little guy absolutely loves coming in and getting all the loves and pets in the world.

Mountain Dog is my FAVORITE place! We love to spoil our Puppy dog and after learning about raw food and the importance of knowing what you are feeding your best friend I knew I had to visit Mike and Stacy (and Flynn and Elway). They have made the transition from kibble to raw food easy! They truly care about your pets health and go above and beyond every time! Best pet store around!! Fantastic products from leashes, toys, food, a beautiful treat bar, specialty items and everything in between! Tucked away behind a tree in the Roaring Fork Marketplace is small dog supply store with a proprietor, Mike, that really does know what he’s talking about. There is a wonderful selection of healthy, organic kibbles, as well as a refrigerated section of snacks and chemical free foods. Things you never dreamed of. Things you never knew your dog needed. He also has a wonderful supply of treats, bagged and bulk. CBD selections. Joint supplements. Calming supplements. A nice selection of toys and a small selection of harnesses, collars, and leashes. This section is only small because of lack of room in the shop. With a few exceptions, Mike Keeps everything made and sourced in the USA, and when he can, Colorado made products. With certain selections of dog food he has a buy 10 get the next one free deal. And I admit to trying many new things since I discovered his store. To be clear, this is Mike’s only store. No other store is affiliated with him.. Go look him up in Glenwood Springs! P.S. There is also a section for cats. Just as healthy. Just as researched!
