My husband and I spent Valentine’s Day weekend here and had an amazing time. We rented a spa suite, dined in 24/7 twice & the steakhouse once. The service was beyond great in every way. Everyone who works there is very hospitable, from the front desk to housekeeping to waitstaff and those working in the casino. Our room was fabulous - large, spotless, with a gorgeous view. Very romantic for a weekend getaway. The food was excellent both times we ate at 24/7 and at the steakhouse, which was an experience in itself - definitely worth the price tag. Drinks were excellent as well. The casino was so large that we didn’t even have to leave the hotel to gamble elsewhere. I highly recommend!

I received a complementary room at the Monarch Casino in Black Hawk. I enjoyed it very much, it was nice to get away for an evening. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and inviting. The shower was big enough to share and has a built in bench to relax on. I’m definitely looking forward to my next trip. Hopefully I can win some money!

We had an incredible stay at the Monarch Hotel and Casino in Black Hawk, CO! Arriving on a Thursday, we were immediately impressed with the free parking and how clean and beautiful the hotel was. The rooms were warm, clean, inviting, and incredibly comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay.

The casino, while not enormous, was perfectly sized for the midweek crowd and had plenty to offer. Dining at the Chophouse was a highlight—absolutely amazing food, though it is on the pricier side. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and pleasant, truly elevating the experience and making us feel welcome throughout our visit.

One of the standout amenities was the heated pool and rooftop hot tub, which were a perfect way to unwind. We made full use of both and loved the serene atmosphere. Floor service could be a bit slow at times, but honestly, that’s something we’ve seen elsewhere too, and a little extra tip money helped speed things up.

As for the food, the Colorado burrito was absolutely out of this world and a must-try! The nachos, however, were underwhelming and would be something we’d skip next time. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

This place is beautiful. The spa in particular was absolutely amazing. Ridiculously relaxing and pampering. Rooms were roomy and clean, very comfortable. Casino was also clean and staff was super friendly and helpful. Restaurants were great, a little pricey but that's to be expected. Fabulous little getaway, highly recommend!

My wife and I visited the Monarch Spa and the staff and facilities couldn’t have been better. It was a welcomed way to relax after a rough month. We were met with kindness, given a tour, and then were free to enjoy everything they had to offer. I even took a wonderful nap in front of the salt wall. Everything was very clean and luxurious. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Have stayed here 10+ times and always have a wonderful experience especially at the pool and hot tub. Until this past Sunday, when I got home and received the following email:
During your stay with us at Monarch Casino Resort Spa smoking was detected in your hotel room. At check in and on our registration card we inform all guests that we are a 100% nonsmoking facility. No smoking is allowed on property outside of our designated outdoor smoking areas. Smoking in rooms results in a fee of $250. We have applied the smoking cleaning fee.

***We DO NOT SMOKE any substances, so I assumed this was sort of scam until I called the manager, Casey, and was told that "Yes, there was smoke in your room". When I explained that it was not possible, that it must have been his staff after we checked out at 10am, he was downright dismissive and rude. I was offered a "One time courtesy" refund which is insulting since this did not happen---BEWARE of this new scam Monarch is doing!! So unfortunately, we will not return!!!

Visiting Monarch Casino Resort Spa with family and friends was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the resort. One of the highlights of our trip was the buffet—it was absolutely incredible! The variety of dishes was outstanding, and every single item we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re a foodie or just love a good meal, this buffet is not to be missed.

Another favorite spot for us was the coffee shop. It had a cozy, inviting ambiance that was perfect for relaxing after a fun day. The coffee was fantastic, and the service was quick and friendly. It quickly became our go-to spot to recharge and catch up with each other.

The resort itself offered so much to do, and there was never a dull moment. Whether we were enjoying great food, exploring the amenities, or simply hanging out and enjoying each other’s company, every part of our stay was filled with fun and laughter. Monarch Casino Resort Spa is the perfect destination for a getaway with loved ones, and we can’t wait to come back for another visit!

My husband and I checked in at 4pm on Saturday for our honey moon. Was told our room wasn’t ready and someone would call us when it was … 3 1/2 hours latter we had to call them to check. And was told oh sorry I don’t know why no one called you but yes it’s ready. No late check out or food coupon maybe ..nothing but yet we couldn’t check in until almost 730pm! Not happy about that
Other then that we ate at the buffet and the food was amazing
