What started out as lessons for our then almost 6 year old daughter has blossomed into a completely life changing experience for our family - and it is all due to the people at MNC Farm. I felt compelled to write this review after seeing the most recent poor review, which I believe to only be part of a much bigger story. After over a year of amazing lessons from Tanya, my daughter started becoming interested in barrel racing; coming from a non-rodeo family who had very little knowledge about horses in general this was going to be a much bigger task than we ever imagined. The lessons to my whole family have been invaluable and it's all due to Marie, Nic & Tanya and everyone else at MNC Farm. We purchased one horse from Marie in 2017 and not only did Marie make us a great deal and was very fair, but she helped us with training & lessons- whether it was ground work, tune ups, lessons with my daughter or overall care of our new family member. And she was very fair doing so and didn't take advantage of our naivety or bank accounts. She has been our daughters number one fan and has helped her grow in so many ways that a google review just wouldn't suffice. In 2018 we purchased another horse from Marie and again she was very honest & fair. And she has gone above and beyond to help us, and it's not just us, she is like this with all of her boarders and students. Now, did we still get pre-purchase exams before buying these horses? Yes. Were there times when the horses attitude seemed to be too much and we had second thoughts? Yes. But as long as you have patience, open communication and commitment then you have a much better chance at success. To sum it up - I highly recommend MNC Farm for lessons, for boarding, and for buying a horse. Do your homework, ask questions, don't be afraid to sound dumb, don't be afraid to speak up. And if you have to come visit or try out that horse a dozen times or take a years worth of lessons before you are comfortable, MNC Farm will understand and treat you right.

I board my horse here and love it! The dynamics of the farm and the people who work there, make it that much more enjoyable. Everyone is very friendly, smiles on their faces, and always ready to help if needed! If you are looking for a local boarding facility or a place to take lessons, this is it! Come check it out!!

My 8 and 6 year old kids absolutely love riding at MNC farms. Tanya is our primary teacher and she is excellent, but we have had great experiences with Leah and Marie as well. I even took up riding as a new life skill at 40 and within a few lessons learned enough to ride with the kids. When I am at MNC the stress of life literally falls away. The great community of people that keep this farm going clearly care for all the animals, you should see it not just horses but pigs, sheep, chickens, donkeys, ponies and a llama! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a city get away and animal connection time. Thanks MNC for all you do!

We boarded our horses here for a year until we could build a fence at our house. This is a very laid back environment, everyone is helpful and it's a family friendly place to hang out. Our daughter did lessons with Leah and Marie did horse training for us. I would recommend MNC for anyone who is looking for a place for their horses.

I've been riding with Marie since I moved to Colorado in 2017 and it has been a true pleasure. Marie has transitioned me from a hunter jumper to a western rider. I hadn't ridden for about 10 years before coming to MNC farm. She has given me so much technical knowledge from barrels to trail riding. She has given me the confidence to jump on multiple different horses and learn how they respond. She has let me in on her journey as a barrel racing athlete, and it has been a great inspiration. Though I travel a lot for work, Marie and MNC farm have been incredibly accommodating and have worked with me to make sure I'm able to ride when I am home, and to continue to grow my skills as a western rider. Marie has so much knowledge, and she and Nic care deeply for the horses that they board and raise. They make sure all of their animals are healthy and well-cared for. I have loved learning horsemanship from them and feel incredibly lucky that MNC farms has become a home. My only wish is that I could be there more.

I've been taking lessons with Tanya for several months and it's been a wonderful experience. Tanya will push you, and does a fantastic job explaining how to improve and answering questions. She's that coach you want to work hard to impress, and I've definitely improved a ton in my confidence, coordination, and skills.

I advise anyone not to purchase a horse here without doing their homework. I purchased a horse from Marie and when I went to ride him she had him tacked up already And she said she had warmed him up so I didn’t have to waste my time watching her warm him up! That should have been a red flag. I was told he had extensive desensitizing training and went out on trails just fine. I was told he was friendly to other horses. He attacks my other horse and tries to mount him. I was lied to the whole time I was looking at the horse. I should have gone and ridden him more than once which is what I suggest to anyone looking to buy any horse. I made a lot of mistakes but as a trainer Marie should’ve disclosed the issues my new horse had. The horse I bought was dropped off by Marie and when she brought him she said “Oh I forgot to tell you that on occasion he pulls back for some unknown reason.” I said ok thinking it wasn’t an issue that would happen every time he gets tied up or put on cross ties. He broke a leather halter pulling back. I just put him on the cross ties to brush him. He also was very destructive and not settling in quickly. I called Marie with my concerns to see if she would take him back because he didn’t seem happy and she told me that it sounds like he has an ulcer!!!! Where that came from I have no idea! She wanted to give me herbal supplements to help him with said ulcer. I said I really didn’t think that the horse I bought was going to be a good fit for me and would she take him back and give me my money back minus $500 for her troubles. She said she could give me a 12 year old mare in exchange for the 5 year old I had just purchased. In hindsight it is mostly my fault for not doing my homework but a lot of the blame falls on Marie. Being a trainer she should’ve disclosed all the horses issues and she should’ve told me that this horse wasn’t for me when I said I was looking for a trail horse. I guess all she saw was dollar signs! DO NOT BUY A HORSE FROM HERE!!!

My daughter who is 7 just started horse riding lessons at MNC Farms. She has big visions for herself. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful along with excellent instruction. We are looking forward to many more days out here.
