Took my daughters chihuahua for a second opinion exam on a tumor she had on her chest. This place was like night and day compared to the vets office we went to in Salina (which made it sound like she could potentially have cancer and the price for the procedure was outrageous).
Dr. Prose took the time to explain to us why and what he was looking for. Reassured my daughter that her fur baby was actually very healthy, and the pricing for the procedure was very reasonable and within our budget. Highly recommend and worth the drive. Now, we are taking all our dogs here and recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable and reasonable vet.

I recently moved to Kansas from Ohio. My 12 year old cat was diagnosed with mastitis a while ago and nothing was ever done about it, I went again to the vet that I previously worked at in Ohio and they still did nothing for her. She was treated unfairly.

I got my cat in, and within a minute of listing to her heart he tells me she had a heart murmur, I have had her for 12 years and no one has ever told me that. Keep in mind that 6 months before she was at a vet in Ohio and they listened to her heart as well.
She had a large mass on her chest area and he immediately did a biopsy and was done within 9 minutes. She did have breast cancer, he recommended surgery and got here in two days later and she came out better than fine. This is one of the best vets I have ever been to, he will be the one I go to for now on. I am thankful for him, he saved my cat and treated her how an animal is supposed to be treated at the doctors office. Thank you, for everything.

So, don’t scroll to find another vet. He has reasonable pricing; not expensive surgery. He did an out of pocket job. I would trust him with every animal I ever had. This is the vet to go to.

Dr Prose saved my cat! He came in after hours on a Monday and I'm sure that wasn't ideal, but we really appreciated it. His people called and checked on Midnight the next day, and had us come in for some fluids just to make sure he was okay. What really impressed me was they called a week later to check on him. No one does that!! Absolutely incredible service.

could not believe what reasonable prices being from Florida I could not have even walked through the door for what I paid for the entire visit and medications here.

Great place to take your pet. Dr. Prose is a very knowledgeable vet and will listen to your needs and concerns about your pet. He has seen my animals for years and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
