I found Marpawws on instagram when researching for dog boarding for an upcoming vacation. I messaged them and Mariam responded. I took my girls, a 12 year old Husky, and 1 year old Malinois Husky, to meet them and felt so comfortable. I can tell they care about your pets as if they were theirs. We talked about day care and overnight boarding. They had a happy customer there they had been watching since he was a pup and he was such a good boy and played well with my girls. We’ve been taking our girls to them for daycare to get them acclimated and will have an overnight stay as well. I’m looking forward to being able to go on vacation and know that my girls are sleeping inside and being cared for and loved. I also love the updated texts and photos/videos from Jason and Mariam. If you are looking for a place that treats your fur babies like family, bring them to Marpawws and have peace of mind that they are taking the best care of your babies.

My two boys absolutely love Mariam!. They are both shepards, one a senior and one quite young and have both stayed with her everytime I’ve traveled the last two years. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with them. She sends text updates, always following my feeding and medication instructions and they always come home happy and tired from playing. She is flexible and always happy to respond when I check-in which I really appreciate. Will use her forever for my guys!

I found Marpawws on the Thumbtack app last Fri and after reading all the positive reviews, I sent my message and Mariam responded immediately! During our initial correspondence via text she already made me feel super comfortable with asking her anything; and the questions she asked me to get to know my baby girl were important ones such as what her behavior around other dogs was like. This let me know that she is careful to ensure the safety of each pet that boards with her. We set up a meet and greet for this week which was on Thurs and it went extremely well! My baby is very leash aggressive, temperamental and reactive when it comes to strangers and other dogs but when we approached Mariam and her partner Jason with their pup in their front yard, my little mean girl was so calm and friendly I couldn't believe it! She took to them both and their dog really well walking into their home with such confidence and comfort as if it was our home. The environment is super welcoming, clean and inviting with the backyard being perfect for playtime. I never got a sense of overcrowding especially since they don't board more than 5 dogs at a time. I already felt like we were a good fit for them, but I wanted to do a trial run by leaving my baby with them before leaving her next month for the first time for 2 weeks. They were so flexible and accommodating that they agreed to have me leave her yesterday morning and I picked her up this evening. Not once did Mariam make me feel like I couldn't text her to check up on my girl. She even initiated some of the texts sending me pics and vids, which made me extremely happy because I can tell that Soca felt comfortable to the point where she was even on her bed! This very personal approach to pet boarding is something I have been looking for and I'm so happy that I found them. They are an amazing couple who truly showed love, affection and attention to my nervous nelly/separation anxiety-prone girl. Her honesty and concern today with letting me know that my girl hadn't eaten her breakfast was confirmation that she really cared for her, but that she wanted to know what she can do. She did what I suggested and it worked. When I picked her up she looked happy and wasn't aggressive or lunging at their neighbors and her dog who stopped to chat. I was like who is this dog and where did they hide mine? Lol. She didn't even want to leave which speaks volumes to their care. I would 1,000% recommend marpawws to anyone in need of a pet sitter/boarder. They are a God send!

I found Marpawws online for daily walks and occasional boarding for my pup.
I had worked with some people on Rover here and there, but could not find anyone consistent or reliable.

Nearly two years later, I could not be more thankful I found Mariam and Jason with Marpawws. They are incredibly caring and knowledgeable- I have SO much peace of mind knowing my pup is in their care on a daily basis. They are easy to coordinate with, and have so much care and attention to detail even when my pup Mochi is going through a health issue and needs some special attention.

Mariam and Jason of Marpawws are two of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever met in my life. I’d trust the two of them to take care of my 2 month old child so it goes without saying YES they are far more than qualified to manage any level of dog care you would or could need.

Five to six days a week Mariam or Jason (occasionally both) chauffer Blu from my home in Brentwood to participate in socialization, training and nice long WALKS with a group of dogs. Sometimes the "Pack" for the walk is big, other times it can be 2-3 dogs. Either way he comes back hot and panting so I know he's had a solid dose of morning exercise.

Blu is a big boy and because of his size and demeanor he seems to calm the pack when they walk. Nothing bothers the guy, he doesn't, pull, bark, put up his hackles, growl or show his teeth. . . .more often than not he actually greets humans by running towards them with the classic Pitbull Smile. Blu Man is like a giant buddha rammed into a pitbull form. The best way to get an annoying yappy, barky, insecure dog to go quiet, settle down and know their place. . . . .go walk with Blu. Honest to god. Mariam and Jason will tell you themselves, Blu is the easiest or one of the easiest dogs to walk in their pack and everyone behaves better when he's out and about. Whether its a working dog, a retriever or shepherd or a toy dog they all just jive.

Everyone has seen the Dog who typically lunges at other dogs when walked solo, and barks. . .its generally out of insecurity and fear, and that's what's ameliorated if he is around. If you see him please feel free to pet him, he loves it. Its a pretty incredible spectacle to see frankly. So if you are having any difficulty socializing your dog may I suggest giving Marpawws a call for a westside walking date.

It's a shame the American Staff Terrrior (pitbull) breed has received so much negative press. . .some of it is probably true. I love walking Blu near my home or straight into any local business (non food establishment) and sharing the love that such a calming warm and sweet 125lbs pitbull Blu can have, and helping to eliminate ridiculous misconceptions.

I think Marpaww's socialization walks and the wide range of dogs they walk on a daily basis is a major factor in his happiness and emotional stability. They offer pick up and drop off services for boarding, walks, basic obedience training, and are very dog savvy.

Did I forget to mention that offer boarding services as well? Blu was there for 3 days, he's is in LOVE with his girlfriend Mariam who goes as far as to make the guy a custom dinner!!! And he comes home smelling like a milion bucks after his bath. Their boarding facility is not at some chaotic over-run overcrowded apartment but a very nicely maintained and managed, clean (and never more than 2 or 3 dog busy) stand-alone home that they own near Sherman oaks and van Nuys.

Does it make me a little jealous to see how excited Blu gets right around 8 am? He's got his 6am-8am power nap completed then he ignores me, sits on my be and waits for the front property gates to open. He stares out the window every morning and patiently waits for them to arrive like it is the best day of his life.

Frankly I think that's a pretty great outlook on life, or at the least a great outlook on the day. All that big guy knows is love, he gives it and receives it right back Marpawws provides the finest dog walking and canine related service in town and if I could give them a 10 star them I would.

My only suggestion is to get in now..... otherwise I suspect they're going to be overbooked and hard to schedule because they are that good. Ethical, dependable, prompt, kind, generous good people who absolutely love and care for the dogs they work with as if they are their own. Oh yeah did I mention they are great with dogs?
