We use to have a shop next to Man's Best Friend and got to know the folks that work there. We found they were very caring/compassionate of the animals in their care.
We have many friends that have taken their dogs for training and boarding to Man's Best Friend over the past couple of years. One friend boards her cat on occasion. Everything we have been told and have seen has always been good. We have been told by friends the two trainers, Jerry and Mandy are very good with the pets. We have seen them training dogs and teaching the owners on proper guidance for their pets.
If we ever need to have a dog trained, this is where we would go. Plus they are near our home.

If you're looking for a place that treats your dog like family, Man's Best Friend is the place to go! I don't trust my dog with just anyone. The staff takes top notch quality care of Luka and I won't be going anywhere else. Here's a breakdown of everything, and I hope you take the time to read it.

Trainers- Mandy has been excellent with training Luka. Not only does she have a load of experience training dogs she also teaches you how to speak their language in a way that is easy to understand. I have been to several trainers throughout my lifetime and I think she does the best with providing well balanced training. I have been seeing her for almost a year and Luka has changed leaps and bounds. With that being said, though, as owners, we have to take accountability of consistently training our dogs when we leave the facility. Too many people want to blame their dog's regression on the trainer, when it's actually the owner's lack of consistency.

Groomer- Luka is a highly reactive dog. He does not like most people touching him. Craig was able to handle Luka with kindness and understanding. This resulted in a very pleasant experience for Luka, and he came out of the grooming session happy. Luka will be groomed by him for now on.

Staff- They are kind, pleasant, and compassionate. I can tell they really like their jobs and care about the animals that come to their facility.

Boarding/Facility- One of the things I like is that they are small. Due to this, they are able to pay every animal in their care the attention they deserve. I have been to other facilities that are much larger and treat me like I'm just a number or a way to make money. Man's Best Friend takes care of my dog like I would. They also have a fenced in yard they take the dogs out to play in. So I'm not worried about Luka, not getting enough exercise or care.

Please take your dog here. You're doing them a disservice, if you don't!

Cannot say enough good about this place! Mandy and Brenda are fantastic. Zava, my Australian Shepherd did the two week boarding and training as well as continued weekly training sessions and he has had a massive improvement in all areas of training. There is no one else I would trust more than them.

Mandy is literally a godsend at helping pet owners work towards their training goals. She not only knows how to address the tasks in a way the dogs understand; she also knows how to teach in a way that the humans on the leash can understand and lead their pets successfully.
This company should be greatful to have Mandy on their team because she is definitely an asset to them and their clientele.

We have been taking our German Shepard puppy to Man’s Best Friend for obedience training and have been having a great experience so far. We did not have previous experience before dog training and didn’t want our puppy to be uncontrollable. Jerry is extremely knowledgeable and has helped us navigate the behaviors our puppy is developing through a balance of proper correction and praise. Our puppy Marlo is becoming such a good companion thanks to the help of Jerry and staff. Highly recommend choosing Man’s best friend for training.

I had a really good experience with this place when I needed to find a place for my dog for a few days, they took really good care of him and have him everything he needed. Amarrisa is really really friendly, she made us feel really comfortable and ensured us that everything will be ok. Definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

This place is AWFUL!! My poor pup came home traumatized. Do not take your pets here… I live only a couple miles away and thought it would be wonderful to have a groomer and daycare so close by. I immediately felt like something was off when they tried to whisk my dog away for grooming even though we discussed only doing her first day of daycare that day. But, she desperately needed a grooms so I convinced myself I was over reacting. After she went back with the groomer, I asked to see the play area. The room was no bigger than 15’x12’. And the TWO dogs were in cages, not supervised or playing. I was told they were “resting”. At 8am No.

I picked my dog up and was told “she did well. She was timid but interested”… ok? She plays perfectly fine with other dogs at the dog park, in our neighborhood, and at Tiffany Kennels day care. Sounds like a facility issue to me.

She wanted NOTHING to do with the groomer as soon as I arrived. I have no idea what could have happened, but it was the most anxious I’ve seen my dog in two years. Even today at her vet, who she loves, she was an anxious mess. Her trip to MBF has left lasting damage. Do NOT take your dog here. It’s not a good place for them.
