Where to start?

The Magenta threatre is a truly great place that is almost exclusively run by volunteers from the local community. Wether you want to simply be entertained or emotionally transported through great story telling Magenta has many offerings on their mainstage and secondary stage shows that consistently delivers exceptional community theatre fully run by your neighbors and reflecting various aspects of your broader local community.

And if you enjoy people and the theatre, and have some spare time, the theatre is always looking for volunteers who can help with things as easy as ushering for a single show, to helping craft the next mainstage production.

This is a very well kept theater. I recently worked here doing a video shoot. It was a great place to work in. Everything went smoothly. While I haven't seen a show here (I've only worked in the space doing a closed video shoot), I do hope to one day. Their lighting grid was rather impressive for a space of its size. And, with an ETC system, I felt right at home adjusting some lights needed for our video recording. This was a great theater to see. Hopefully I'll get to do more video shoots there in the future as well as actually see a show as a regular audience member.

Great acoustics in a small and intimate setting. You can smell the breath of actors in row A. It was a good play too..

The latest show, Jeeves at Sea, is lots of fun with good acting. All seats are comfortable with a good view of the stage.

I purchased 3 tickets in advance for a Sunday matinee. It was a play I had never heard of but my friends and I were intrigued by the description and haven’t been here before so we were excited. The theater is very nice and clean, well maintained. During the introduction, the director said, “Thank you for coming to this reading.” We did not pay for a reading, we came to see a play. The entire nearly 3 hour production was actors with scripts in hand & it was so distracting. We almost left during intermission but we had hopes it would get better, it never did. Only one actor was off book and she came onstage in the end, she was the only character any of us enjoyed. I reviewed my tickets, the website description made no mention of this being a reading. It’s possible all of their “plays” are readings, I’m not sure but I will continue going to small community theaters over the bridge instead.

Wonderful theater! Last night, my grandma and I saw "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks" and it was HILARIOUS! We loved the cast, the seats were very comfortable, and we both thought the play itself was a great choice by the theater. Well done all around! I can't wait to see another show here. Thanks again for a great night out!

The theater has good prices and very friendly employees. They have a little snack counter with cold drinks. The plays I've seen have been really good, funny, and satirical. Only one I didn't favor. Only because of the cussing language. Overall, it's a splendid place and always packed.
