These photos of cinnamon rolls are hands-down the best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. I’ve also greatly enjoyed Lucky’s café breakfasts and their tiny grocery feels comforting and nurturing to me because I grew up in a small town.
The one thing that’s new to the grocery are the self-serve machines that are still in the process of becoming successful.

Lucky’s Market is a quaint local grocery store that’s really convenient to people living or just finding themselves on the north end of Boulder who want to fresh food, sometimes local, and often organic foods abound. Several small shops including a restaurant, LQ, espresso shop and a cleaners make it a convenient stop.

For as expensive as it is, the team there is lacking all of a sudden. The last two times I was there the people working the check out were very focused on directing folks to check themselves out instead of just doing it. The result of outsourcing this work to the customers themselves was a bottleneck and multiple people over packing the weak bags there as there’s limited space for packing. It was just an annoying experience at an expensive place. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I love Lucky’s. I’ve been shopping here since I moved to Boulder 20 years ago. I’ve seen a lot of staff come and go, some of whom I miss very much, but the market itself has hardly changed. I don’t know how they do it in such a small space, but it’s rare I can’t find everything I need. It is the quintessential neighborhood market. There’s something about the “vibe” too—it still feels cozy, like the Boulder I loved two decades ago, which is no longer true for many other parts of town.

This is a great local market with gourmet items. It is close to downtown but far away enough to have parking. I love everything about his market. They really try to include local options, and have quality items.

This store is amazing. Everything is fresh, lots of unique choices to choose from, very healthy food and eclectic things. I found so much to buy and everything tasted amazing once I got home. The sales clerk at check-out was very nice as well. I will be shopping here much more when I am in town. So glad I stopped here!
