We really enjoy Lucky Dog—it’s one of those places that just works when you’ve got kids in tow but still want a good meal out. The food is solid (our kids are picky and even they found something they liked), and everything came out hot and fresh.

The vibe is casual and family-friendly. It’s not too loud, not too fancy—just a comfortable spot where you don’t feel like you’re walking on eggshells because you brought your kids. The staff was super nice and patient, which always makes a huge difference as a parent.

It’s a great little local place when you want an easy night out, good food, and a stress-free atmosphere. Definitely a win in our book!

Went on Wednesday and felt like they were understaffed. I sat outside which was I liked, but the chairs seemed off from the tables. I did have my dog, not getting a table was awkward. They make you go to the front of the building inside to get a table, but dogs are only allowed on the patio which was open along the side with a sign to go inside to get a table. As a single person with a dog... how do you do that? I did tie the dog to an open table on the patio and the GM seemed annoyed when I went inside to ask for a table. I had the Lucky Dog Bowl with Chicken it arrived fast. It was both special and I could have made it better at home. The Lavender Gin Lemonade was definitely good and I would get that again. It was expensive and I would not go back.

What drew us to this place was the dog friendly patio space. We had our puppy with us and it was great for him. The food was pretty good. No complaints. But we sat at our table (that the hostest seated us at, so they knew we were there) for almost 30 minutes with menus in hand before our drink order was even taken. The waitress never checked on us, and our drinks were never refilled. The service was almost non existent. So its hard to rate something we never received. It was a bummer to have such a bad experience because the food and patio were great.

This place was really cute! The staff was great; polite and prompt. And the food! My goodness! I had the bbq pulled pork mac and cheese and while the mac and cheese part was good, it was the pulled pork that stole the show. Very tender and delightful.

I only gave 1 star because there is no zero option.

We traveled quite a ways to eat there because they are supposedly “dog friendly” and we had our dog.

It was 3:00 pm so probably the slowest time of the day. There was no one else sitting on the patio. Not a single person. There were 1/2 dozen or so 4-top tables and they were all in the direct son and two 8-tops in the shade. They told us (3 people, one 80 yo) we couldn’t use the umbrellas on the 4-tops because it was too windy and we couldn’t sit at the 8-tops because our group was too small.

Seriously! There was no one else there and it was 3:00!!!

They could have moved two 4-top tables together and made an 8-top if by some snowball’s chance in hell, a mad rush bestowed itself on Lucky Dog in groups of 8.

We ate somewhere else. Your loss Lucky Dog! You might want to tell your hostess that you’re actually in business to sell food, not turn people away. Or maybe you don’t

Stunned how this restaurant has went down hill in one year! Last year on vacation we dined here three times as it was very good. This year the 3 staff members were at the bar talking the entire time we were there. Server definitely didn’t seem to want to be working. Didn’t ask how food was etc. Also extremely limited menu. I believe we heard a staff member say the cook quit, but not 100 percent sure. When people are on vacation they appreciate staff that interact and want to be at work. If things don’t change , I am not sure this restaurant will be in business when we come back next year!

After having some underwhelming dining experiences lately after coming back home to this area, I'd like to leave a good review for a place that deserves it.

The Lucky Dog in Beulah is an awesome place to eat! I had an amazing Reuben sandwich and what looked like handmade onion rings. The best part of the sandwich was the corned beef which was possibly the best I've ever had at a restaurant.

I sat at the bar, as I was by myself and didn't want to take up a table. The bartender said he was from out of state I believe, but he had been working there for years. He was quick and friendly. He kept my water glass full, made sure I liked my food, and gave me a good portion of great tasting BBQ sauce I asked for alongside my onion rings which were amazing!

I am so glad that my family recommended this place to me!
I will definitely be back here again soon! Oh, and check at the bar for the WiFi password which is great considering Beulah has abysmal cell service!

If I had to leave one criticism, it would be that the very beautiful outside seating was going to waste on a gorgeous day outside. Also, it seemed like everyone was seated up front when I found out later there was plenty of seating towards the back as well.
I've worked at restaurants before. Perhaps staffing was limited, but there was definitely plenty of space there despite everyone seemingly seated fairly tight together.

The staff was friendly and the place had good vibes, but the food was very disappointing. Based on the reviews I was expecting much better. On the positive side, we got a table quckly, the food came out hot, the wings were plump and the fries were fine. On the downside, the sauces and seasoning were off on everything, vegetarian options were very poor, prices are pretty high, and the beer selection is mid. Set your expectations at a highway roadhouse that serves off-brand ketchup and you'll be less disappointed than we were. I don't like giving bad reviews to small businesses but I aslo want families to avoid disappointment.
