Okay here it goes… an incredibly long overdue and extremely deserving review for Kevin, Latoya, Sam, Mel, etc. at LoveUrK9 in El Segundo. I think I have taken so long to post this review because I could never find quite the right words to express my appreciation for these incredible individuals time and dedication to my dog, Finn.

I adopted Finn when he was five months old after being on a stray hold, and boy was he cute but he was nothing shy of a disaster. He had never been on a leash before and had been roaming the streets for his entire life up until this point. I was doing the best that I could under the circumstances, but was struggling intensely every day with him. I was so overwhelmed and vividly remember spending nights driving around with him in my car sobbing & not knowing what to do.

I heard about Kevin and Latoya‘s training program through a coworker and decided that I needed to get him into their program as soon as possible. The first thing that I loved about their training method is that they are not treat-based and instead use love and affection as a form of affirmation for dogs when training. This is something that I had not heard of before and really respected.

Kevin and Latoya completely changed mine and Finn‘s lives forever not only did they teach him basic commands like sit, down, stay and go to place, but they also taught him how to LISTEN, walk properly on a leash, have impeccable recall, and eventually, how to be an off leash dog.

Another thing that Finn struggled with for a long time is reactivity towards people and dogs. This felt like an impossible thing to overcome to me, especially living in an apartment complex, but Kevin and Latoya healed him of his reactivity through behavioral training. I went from hiding in my apartment and avoiding all contact with dogs and people, to watching Finn make best friends with dogs in my complex, taking him to restaurants and the grocery store, and pretty much everywhere with me. I never thought this would be possible for him.

I get complemented every single day by people on how well-behaved and what an angel Finn is, and I always tell people that I owe it all to LoveUrK9. I could not have done it without them, and my life simply would not look the way it does if it weren’t for them. I would recommend their training to anyone and everyone with a dog. It is beyond worth it, and I feel blessed every single day to have met them.

The best dog training my pup has received. I tried a few different ones when I first got my puppy, then I was referred to Kevin and Toya from a trusted dog owner and friend, as well as the dog rescue I got my puppy from. They have taught me so much about owning and training a dog. Brilliant and very kind team who has helped my dog gain confidence. We even go back for a refresh now and then. This review is 100% unsolicited!! LOVE UR K9 dog training is the best investment I’ve made!! Period!! I was considering a few other highly recommended dog training facilities in the Southbay, but as soon as I had an initial conversation with Latoya on the phone, I was sold. I liked LOVE UR K9’s approach: personalized training for MY goals for my 3-year old dog! The following week, my rescue dog, Jackson, started a two days per week group training program. I dropped him off at 9:30am and picked him up at 4:30pm. I saw IMMEDIATE RESULTS!! Kevin, Latoya and the staff are excellent and very experienced at handling and training all different types of dogs, at all different stages, as you see them first hand working diligently with the dogs during drop off and pick up! Jackson had some challenging behavioral issues as well as some emotional ie anxiety issues which LOVE UR K9 solved in a 6-week program. Each week I was given very specific homework assignments on exactly what to work on with Jackson, how many times per day, how many minutes for each session etc. LOVE UR K9 also offers weekend morning group training at the local Hermosa Beach park and vicinity which is very effective with all the distractions! I couldn’t be happier with the results… I’m thrilled to be able to calmly walk Jackson on The Strand in my community with a cup of coffee in my hand and able to greet other Strand walkers with their dogs without any drama! YAY!! Thanks again LOVE UR K9, Kevin and Latoya!!

THE BEST!!! This may be long but it is a testament on how amazing Kevin, Toya, and the team at Love Ur K9 are. We started at home 1:1 training with Toya when our giant breed puppy was just 12 weeks old and we are so happy we did. We set goals with them from the beginning and after each session we were given homework to work towards the goals. Once our pup finally had all his vaccinations we were able to start training with them at their facility. I genuinely cannot recommend them enough. They are so kind, patient (with the dogs and their owners 😉 ), loving, and knowledgeable. Our dog gets so excited when he gets out of the car to go into training. They also offer boarding which was incredibly helpful for when we were on vacation but didn't want to lose track of our progress. Having a puppy can be incredibly difficult to navigate without professional help (we felt like we were going crazy the first few weeks before Love Ur K9) and we are so happy to have found them. If you are a new dog parent, or a dog parent who wants a little more help when it comes to getting your dog to the best version of themselves, go see Love Ur K9!!!!

I rescued a beautiful 14 month old Doberman Pinscher with hopes to train him as a service dog for myself as I was recently diagnosed with medical issues where a service dog was recommended by my physician. I was referred to Loveurk9 for training of my dog not only because of their knowledge of the Doberman breed well but because they are also highly educated in the needs of those diagnosed with special needs and assisting both the animal and the human in their new life as partners . I can honestly say that though my dog was not out of control when initially rescued, within the first week of working with Kevin, Latoya and the staff my beautiful boy has amazed me. I HIGHLY recommend LoveURK9 to anyone with any type of dog that might just need a tune up no matter the size or to help you with your own needs to help give your dog the best paw forward in life and with your family. I cannot put into words how grateful I am for Toya, Kevin, Mel and the whole crew at Love Ur K9. I brought my stubborn, energetic, freakishly athletic bulldog puppy (who I wouldnt trade for anything) with leash reactivity in and they never gave up on him (or me). They are patient, kind, thoughtful and tenacious. They worked with me on a variety of strategies tailored specifically to my dog and his needs. Could not recommend them more.

Was treated very nicely but the train for my dog was not what I expected for what I paid for they had quite a few dogs in the facility when I came there therefore, I think that they have too many intake animals and not enough trainers.
My recommendation is not to take your dog there in response to your comment it was only 2 trainers there and 3 workers that are not trainers. I know that for a fact, 2 females, one male
I don't know about now. You might have more, but at the time that I paid for training.That's all you had
