The lady in the office was absolutely wonderful (apologies, I forgot your name). She was incredibly kind and made our family feel right at home throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed the campsite, especially with the beautiful Kern River nearby. By the end of our visit, our kids didn’t want to leave! I promised them we’d return in the summer to have more fun by the river. You definitely need to check this place out—the Kern River is absolutely beautiful!

Definitely pleasantly surprised! The cabin, though small, had everything we needed! Full-sized bed, futon and bunk beds! It was stocked with pretty much all you need including crock pot, flat griddle, coffee maker, etc. There was no stove but we didn't need one. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I highly recommend KRS RV Resort! This was a great weekend getaway for our annual family reunion! Now if they can somehow muffle the screaming of the goats across the street.....?

We camped on one of the river front spaces #89, it was great! Shared bathroom at the end of the campground was clean and water was hot for a shower. Need quarters for shower, which I feel should be included in the price. Some sites have full hook up, ours only had electric and water, used the dump station at the end of our five nights, that was included so didn’t have to pay extra. We upgraded our internet and it worked great for three devices, price was only $16 to upgrade for our entire 5 night stay. The Kern River is beautiful! Was nice to be able to buy ice and firewood at the office.

This was our first time staying at Camp James with our trailer. It was really a beautiful, clean spot with access to the river and the sound of the river at night. Loved the firepit and the space between other fellow campers. Would return during the week, only because we like quiet and not too much noise with alot of people. Felt safe. Thank you for a nice get away.

We stayed in Cabin #20 for 4 nights starting on 9/30/24 and it was very comfortable for the two of us and our pet dog. It was clean when we arrived and it was supplied with all the necessary needs for our stay. It was 100 degrees during the day for the entire time so the shade from the trees was a blessing if you wanted to enjoy the porch area and the wall unit AC was perfect in keeping the inside nice and cool.
Lonette in the office was very courteous during our stay and answered all the questions we had. We also met Brandi who was also very nice who gave was a walk through of the cabin upon our arrival.
One thing I would mention is there isn't much privacy between cabins 20 and 21. However, my larger truck once parked on the lot did the trick. Perhaps maybe some planting of bushes or of the sort to give it more privacy.
In closing, we have stayed on this property a few times prior to this trip, but the first time staying in a cabin. We fully enjoyed it and will be coming back again.

We recently sold our motorhome and this was our first time staying in a cabin, we stayed in cabin 9.
The staff at the office were very friendly and met us at the cabin to go over all of the details.
The cabin was very clean and the perfect size.
We were walking distance to the beautiful Kern River, where we fished every morning. They even have a place to clean the fish. We rode our bikes around the campsite. lots of friendly ducks and we even saw a few Deer.
All of the employees were so friendly. Highly recommend staying here at Camp James. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in site 40 which was very beautiful, we loved the concrete slab with table awesome touch! The trees surrounded us giving us privacy. The river was across the street and through another camp, but very close. They kept the bathrooms extremely clean. The reason I’m giving a 4 star for service is because the gate at the front entrance didn’t work, so every time we pulled up we had to get out to open the rope and then close again. Not convenient.
Also, we needed some extra time in the am before checking out, so we called the front desk, they ended up charging us an additional $38, for late check out even though they didn’t have another customer checking in. That’s a first. We will remember that for next time. Additionally, when pulling into the camp they put a hospital bracelet on your wrist with your site number on it and expect you to wear that the entire time! (Weird).
Overall, this camp ground was awesome & the staff were very friendly.
