I had the best experience with Koru K9. From signing up until the day my furbaby came home. If you’re looking for a program to sign your dog up for, Koru K9 is the place to be!

Shane Pierson took great care of my dog and was always available if I had any questions/concerns. He took great care of my dog and through his updates, I saw tremendous results. Thanks to Shane & Koru K9 team, my dog is thriving and I am comfortable taking him with me anywhere.

I signed my dog for training, specifically due to leash reactivity, always jumping on people, and not understanding what was being asked of him. After 3 weeks, I am seeing great progress in my dog and I am looking forward to continue to work and be consistent.

We had the best experience with Ashley Nunez with Koru K9 and would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking dog training at any capacity. We sent our very high energy and leash reactive 1.5 year old golden retriever/Irish setter puppy on the 4 week board and train and could not be more pleased with the result. Ashley is a very personable, responsive, and thorough dog trainer who understands dogs on a deeper level and produces results that are sustainable long term. While Finley was in training we received extremely detailed updates that not only provided us with an explanation of what is being worked on, but also provided us with the “why” behind the process and gave us tips and tricks on how to help carry out this behavior post training. We also received high quality pictures of our pup that made us feel like she was still at home with us. Ashley exceeded all of our desired training goals and brought Finley back as a new, obedient dog while still maintaining her spunky personality. Finley had effectively learned how to go on a several mile walk on the leash (before training, we could hardly leave our door step), learned how to “do nothing” at home, and has learned how to listen even with distractions. Ashley spent 2 hours with us transitioning Finley back into our home and taught us how to continue her successful obedience going forward. Ashley’s support did not stop here, she continued to serve as a resource for us post training answering any questions about Finleys behavior in the home or out on the town. Ashley truly cares about the success of the dogs.
During our follow up training session with Ashley, she helped us dial in some of Finleys behaviors post training and even gave us some tips on how to work with our middle aged dog as well! She has gone out of her way to ensure Finleys training is for the long term. Ashley, as well as Koru K9 are dedicated to ensure you receive your desired results out of your dogs training and are in this business for all the right reasons!

After considering several different dog training options in the Denver area, my wife and I settled on Koru K9 to train our two young dogs, a 9-month male Alaskan Malamute and 1.5-year female Cardigan Welsh Corgi. We definitely recommend Koru K9 for anybody unsure of which professional trainers to go through.

Our dogs, especially the Malamute, were close to impossible to walk around our neighborhood without them pulling on the leash and wanting to say hi and explore everything they saw. They both also had very unreliable and inconsistent sit/down-stay commands.

After the 3-week board and train through Koru and our paired trainer, TJ, we have been able to have such better communication and obedience with our dogs. They look at us frequently on the walk, stay by our side/at our heel, and have amazing sit/down-stays.

We are finally able to have much more structure around the house and keep our dogs on place for extended periods of time while we're eating or needing to tend to other things. Their ability to go on the treadmill was a wonderful treat when there's bad weather and we aren't able to walk them outside.

We sent our 100lb Alaskan Malamute in for an extra session of Advanced Obedience as a still intact 1.5-year old so that we could have even better communication with him in our everyday lives since he was getting a bit too big and dominant on walks as he encountered barking dogs behind fences. He is now e-collar trained and this provides us with a much more reliable way to communicate with him.

The weekly video updates that we received from TJ were very clear and helped explain and detail the training techniques so that we were able to get our own sort of training to be ready for the dogs' return from the board-and-train. The return home in-person session ensured we understood the various commands and communication. TJ answered all of the questions we had and we stay in good communication with him today as our young dogs grow older and we feel comfortable asking him anything that comes to mind.

The team at Koru K9 are amazing, dog & family forward support and training Professionals.

I have 2 wolfdogs, litermates, who are just a year old. They have all the imaginable issues + litermate syndrome. Out of a desire to give my girls the best chance at being vibrant well adjusted good community members, and valued companions and family members, I reached out to Koru K9 For help.

We were paired with Owen Bower. He worked with my girls together as well as each separately. the results are AMAZING!

Both girls came back to me with a solid foundation of basic behavioral training. But also, we have a life-long partner to make sure my girls are well trained members of our community and can manage their world and routine with ease and grace and be the happiest, most wonderful family pets and community members imaginable.

Owen worked with Star, my smaller pup, and helped her not only solidly learn her heal, place, stay, and immediately sits when I stop walking, etc. But he also worked to give her confidence and not be so submissive. He fostered her soft emotional and good companion dog behavior skills that are absolutely spectacular but so difficult to train into a dog..

It’s quite striking the differences between my two pups. And Owen embraced their uniqueness and individually addressed each girls‘ issues while preserving their delightful duller personalities.

For my Ziggy, Owen worked to strengthen her basic skill set and teach her place, and stay, and heal & sit and down and all the wonderful things. And he also, worked with Ziggy to support her confidence and strength while helping her to look to her human for assurance and guidance Which is vital to being a wonderful family member, companion, and community member.

I am so appreciative of how much work and attention and love Owen’s given the girls! It shows and I dearly love that he’s preserved their unique personalities.

Owen Bower and Koru K9 have taught me the skills to support my dogs and their training, and more importantly, Owen has become my life long partner in my pup’s training and growth.

Cody, our 5+ year old Aussie, developed some bad habits. Wr are seniors and I have nerver had a male Aussie pup before. I called Koru K9 Dog Training + Rehabilitation for help. Natalie Lane was assigned to work with us. At my request, Lee also came and helped by working with my husband when he was available. Natalie and Lee' s training aproach along with the e-collar training for us was a great training tool. Cody's behavior has improved 100%. I am more confident in my training approach and reinforcement with Cody. He is happier and knows what behavior to display and we are less frustrated. Cody is a very smart dog and does try to test us, but with this proper training techniques he is doing so much better. I would highly recommend Natalie and/Lee for dog training and helping owners to work with their dogs.
Respectfully, Joanie Thurston

Our 6 month old puppy was difficult to walk outside and manage inside the home. Sparky from Koru K9 did wonders for our dog Kepler during a four-week board and train. He is excellent at commands and we can walk him without pulling. We are also able to walk him off-leash. He is a much happier and healthier dog. Thank you Sparky and Koru!

Aolanis Fonseca is an absolutely awesome trainer at Koru K9.
She trained our 9 month old chocolate Labrador, Coco, for 3 week board & train and results were amazing. Aolanis also picked up Coco & dropped off Coco and then gave us an intensive training session along with Coco to integrate all the training techniques. Aolanis is such a super nice person and extremely caring and patient and so easy to work with and I highly recommended her professional training. Thus, Coco now has a solid foundation for the future and so appreciative of Aolanis sincere care of our puppy.
Thank you

We wanted to get an early start on our 8 month old pup. We expressed what issues we were having and what our goals were. Unfortunately all our trainer seems to have done was train our dog to be on a prong collar, and not much else. Very disappointed as the company was very communicative when it came to getting payment but after that we never heard from them again. Our trainer would send long docs about all the work she was doing to gain our dog’s trust but doesn’t seem like she really did much more than use a prong collar which we could’ve done ourselves and not paid over 3 grand.
