I explained exactly what services I wanted for my toy poodle for his upcoming photos. They did none of what I asked for, chopped all of his fur off it's winter she did not call she made a decision to chop his fur off saying that it was matted he was shampood and brushed out the day before. Never once did she call w her concern. She butchered his coat. Never again. The place smells horrible. My puppy is acting like he was mistreated.

Good morning this place does a great jo! An of course it smells. It’s a dog shelter! These are the same people that will go to a garbage generator and say it smells like garbage 😂 crazy people please remember A cookie shop smells like cookies, Give me your prayers a restaurant smells like food and a animal shelter smells like animals! As long as your dog comes out looking amazing that should be all you should be worried about. Have a great day.

I dropped my 2 dogs off at Karen's at 8am . I was thinking that I would get them back earlier. I called at noon to check time to be done . I was told the groomer was running late so dogs would be late being done! When I dropped off my fur babies I advised the person at desk. Both dogs had skin issues. I specifically said not to shave the females head instead to trim with scissors. The male I asked them to pay special attention to warts so as not to hit the larger ones shaving. When I picked up dogs females had large area on top of her head that was raw and bleeding!! The male had area that had bled from warts being shaved off. They had my dogs for 7 damn hours and did not follow directions for care. They showed no compassion for dogs and offered no explanation for care. I woould not take a feral rat to Karen's!!

My dog is on medication that has a strict daily dosage. Karen and her team did a completely fabulous job taking care of him for the week that he stayed there. He goes in 2 times a month for a nail trim, no one else will do his nails because of his temperament, we are in and out in 10 minutes. Karen’s is also a non profit rescue. They are absolutely wonderful, truly caring for any animals.

We moved far away from the area of our previous dog groomer, so we needed to find a budget-friendly, nearby dog boarding and grooming business. A lot of places in the Plainfield area were booked for the holiday weekend I needed short-notice availability for. Honestly, the negative reviews made me uneasy, but I needed boarding because I was going to be out of town. Yes, the place smells just slightly more than others. The space itself could use some remodeling. And the clerk answering the phone didn't seem very knowledgeable. With all that being said, I still can confidently write that I had a positive experience. My trip was cut short, and they accommodated my sooner pickup date. My dog's beautiful coat was groomed and washed reasonably well. My dog did not seem scarred from his stay. I will definitely give them another go, and I recommend you do as well.

Don’t make the mistake I did. Read the reviews before booking. My first impression was not good. The place smells awful!!! It’s Not clean or organized. The owner was nice, but I got weird vibes from her. I didn’t trust my baby being handled by her or her employee. After I handed her my 1 year old nervous pup for a bath, who has very minimal grooming experience, I went to my car and read the reviews. I ran inside and told her to not even bother with the rest of the service. Just give him a bath and I’ll take him home wet. My nervous puppy smells better and is home safe. Always trust your gut and be careful who you book your fur babies with because you never know what happens behind closed doors.
