Okay, I had a cat named Fortune. Very first cat I ever had. Took care of her since she was a month old. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I lost my place and I had to put her up for adoption. I did ask the adoption center if they could, can they call me to let her know when she was adopted. Now of course I didn’t expect a phone call, but during 1-3 months, I’ve called every week, and tried to make appointments online to at least see fortune. I never get any response. Even at some point, I got another place and I wanted to adopt fortune again. I seen that online they were having a cat day, so I drove down there and came in to ask to see fortune, and they said she was already adopted the day before.
This happened about 2 years ago, but I just wanted to share that. And hopefully by putting this up, fortune’s new owner will see this and maybe even let me just see her. I actually bonded with her like she was my own child.

I am very familiar with this Humane foundation and all the good they do for the pets and families that come in. I have adopted multiple times, (Iggy, Binx, Willow) and every single time has been an amazing experience. Jordan is extremely helpful, and always gets back to me any time I have any questions about legit- anything and everything. It takes a huge heart to do what the employees and volunteers do on a daily basis, and they should be proud of how amazing they are. They all care, and it shows!

I am grateful for the opportunity to adopt, and I look forward to opportunities in the future to foster and adopt.

Don’t waste your time.
There’s another rescue near Momence that will take time to select the best match for you.
Maybe it was just my unique experience but I needed help with my selection and at least one manager didn’t like that.
Our new family member is not what I would have selected but I’m grateful I was steered to her.

They saved my sweet boy from a kill shelter. I was able to meet him after he was neutered and we made it official the next day. Super sweet people who genuinely care about animals. The shelter is always looking for donations please help. They do so much for these animals.
