I have been going to Kamp K9 over a year now and I can safely say that Dave and his staffs are the best!

We have tried many different dog daycares around the area, but most of them crate dogs throughout the day in disguise of “rest time”. Kamp K9 is the only place where they don’t crate dogs we found. (I found this out hard way noticing my dog whining and whimpering whenever I go to other daycares!)

Staffs are very personable and friendly. They keep you updated on how/what my dog did during the day and stays attentive to what they need. I also like the fact that they let you see the play area ANYTIME of the day. Many daycares have it blocked off from parents and you wonder what goes on there. In addition, you can take a peep of their day if you follow them on Facebook or Instagram. It’s nice to know what my fur baby is up to during the day.

Gina is one of the groomers there, and she takes really good care of my finicky dog who hates bathing or even going near the water. She checks in with you to make sure he gets the most playtime in before he has to go in for bath, and times it just right so that he’s ready for pick up for me on time.

If you’re looking for a place where they treat your dog like their family, this is the place. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t yet.

We can confidently say Kamp K-9 is a 2nd family for Stanley. All of their staff is so friendly and outgoing. But I really need to shout out Nofo and Krista, although I hear Krista is leaving 🙁 They were amazing over the 2 months of training. Stan is a more confident and obedient pup while still having all of his amazing personalities of a Golden.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kamp K-9! We are coming up on a year as apart of the Kamp K-9 family and I found this place is an absolute gem for dog owners. The facility is spotless, with top-notch sanitary procedures that give me total peace of mind. The soft playroom floors are such a thoughtful touch, and there’s a ton of space for the dogs to explore, play, and make new friends. Whether you need full doggie daycares care, half day, overnight boarding, personalized training 1:1, or even grooming needs, Kamp K-9 is for you! My boy, Flynn, absolutely LOVES it here and comes home happy and healthy every single time.

Some days, he even gets pampered by Gina, the in-house groomer, and let me tell you, she is a true artist. Finding a good groomer is no easy task, but Gina is consistently amazing with her attention to detail, gentle approach, and perfect haircuts every time. Flynn always looks his best after a visit with her.

I’ve tried a few other doggie daycares in the area, and none of them come close to the level of care and service at Kamp K-9. They’ve truly thought of everything to make it a safe, fun, and loving environment for the dogs. I highly recommend Kamp K-9 to anyone looking for the best daycare experience for their furry child. Thank you for everything you do for Flynn—we are so grateful to have found you!

This review about my favourite place for dogs. From the moment you walk in it does feel like Home!

Facility: State of the Art (very clean, smells nice, little food shop, always decorated for holidays. Drinks are offered. Huge dogs areas with high ceilings and super ventilation, special vacuums to clean after dogs, each sector is supervised by a separate person, separate backyard which is fenced for dogs to play outside, adjacent wooded area where the trainers walk dogs on leash)

Staff: Very friendly and always there to answer all your questions and concerns you might have.

Trainers: Nofo- # 1 professional in training dogs (i call him magician, because dogs listen to him from the first moment they see him) Christa- amazing trainer that is very kind and helpful.

When i got my dog daughter Polina i had to find a place for her to stay during the day. K-9 took her when she was 5 month old and i had a lot of concerns starting from feeding, training etc- as dog parents we would like to bring up a nice, obedient and friendly dog. K-9 family helped me avery step of that journey starting from personal training sessions, aguility classes and i am very thankful for that from the bottom of my heart.

If you have concerns or need a nice, clean, friendly place for your dog K 9 is your best choice! I also forgot to mention that they have Grooming Salon as well. Its ONE STOP SHOP for all your dog's needs!

I can't say enough good things about Kamp K9 and my incredible experience with the 5-week training course, especially with lead trainer Bill, who is honestly the best dog trainer out there. My dog, Buffy, was extremely reactive, lunging and trying to nip at every dog and person. It was getting out of control until I reached a breaking point and finally signed her up for real training.
In less than a week, Buffy started to change because it turned out I was the one who needed training, not her. Bill is like a dog whisperer. He helped me learn everything I needed to know about working with my two dogs and being a strong leader. I have a notebook full of everything he's taught us. He answered every question I had with such detailed and helpful feedback. You can tell he truly loves his job and is amazing at what he does.

By the two-week mark, I saw such a big change in Buffy that I decided to sign up my second dog. He was older, less aggressive, but very anxious. Bill worked with him so well and taught me how to build his confidence by teaching me to be a strong leader, I’m not kidding I’d send Bill videos and texts daily that he would take the time outside of work to provide such detailed support and feedback about my dogs or training. This 5-week program takes a lot of dedication, but Bill motivated me to stay consistent and made it easy for me to understand how to be the best dog owner I can be.

Now, my dogs can walk on a loose leash with other dogs and people around, sit and stay calmly in public places, and follow commands like down, place, leave it, and recall. They don’t pull on walks anymore and are so much less anxious. And even bigger bonus because I learned Buffy my one dog who I thought was doomed and aggressive isn’t aggressive AT ALL but such a lover. I enjoy life with them now because it’s so much less stressful. I used to be scared to leave my apartment with them because I had no control, but now they are perfect angels!

Bonus: this daycare that the dogs got to stay at during the day is sooo clean my dogs never smelled when I picked them up which is amazing for me.

I believed in this program and Bill so much that I drove three days a week for five weeks from Bucktown, Chicago to Long Grove, dropping them off at 6:30 am, working at a local coffee shop all day and getting home around 7pm. It wasn’t easy, but it was SO worth it. If you’re questioning getting training, I promise this will be worth every penny and every bit of effort if you take it seriously and stay consistent. Thank you, Bill, Crystal, and everyone at Kamp K9. We will miss you guys!

I cannot say enough about this wonderful place. The entire staff is amazing. The owner, the trainers, the groomers, and the entire kennel staff are absolutely incredible. My boy is taken such good care of by everyone there. He goes to day kamp twice a week and recently stayed for 7 days and nights. He was also trained at Kamp K9. He absolutely loves it, and is so loved there as well. It really is like home not only to my boy, but to myself as well. I feel incredibly satisfied that my fur family member is treated with such care and love. This place is top notch and so it’s its staff. My Boy absolutely flourishes from the attention and training. Thank you Kamp K9 for being such an amazing place and being such amazing people.

Highly recommend lead trainer Bill Balatsos, and the whole Kamp K-9 crew!

We first brought our 8-month-old shepherd mix, Maple, for 1:1 training because we couldn’t communicate effectively with her. It was difficult to walk her without her laying down, trying to escape her collar, jumping all over everyone we passed… we were very overwhelmed. From day 1, Bill has been so helpful – training US on how to be better leaders so our pup will want to listen – and we saw positive results immediately.

We are now in the group training, also led by Bill, and it’s such a great opportunity to level-up, practicing those skills in a more distracting environment.

Maple also loves the (very clean) daycare there and we know she’s in great hands at Kamp K9! Huge thank you to Bill and the entire staff for taking such great care of Maple and for teaching us how to be better owners!

We are so pleased with Kamp K9. We’ve had our boy here for daycare/training and he is really improving his behavior. We love the staff and Jojo can’t wait to get in the door there. He plays and learns-a perfect combo. We highly recommend Kamp K9 for your fur baby.
