Luis has been a fantastic trainer. He really understands how to get the results you want from your dog based on their personality. His approach is universal, with slight changes to meet your dogs needs.

In these classes, Luis focuses on training YOU on how to train your dog. This helps build a strong relationship between you and your dog.

The classes on Sunday are a group, but a mix of group and individual work.

Highly recommend giving K9 Guidance a try for at least 1-2 months! You will be impressed with results as long as you put work in outside of group classes.

My wife and I moved to the area recently and needed to find a new trainer. The trainer we were working with before was just too far for us to continue training with them. After doing a little research and word of mouth recommendations we found K-9 Guidance. Lu is a very experienced trainer with many years of K-9 training experience. Whatever you want to get out of your dog Lu will teach and show you how you can accomplish your goals for your four legged family member. They train for everything from basic obedience to Shutzhund. Jeremy is also very knowledgeable and very informative. All the trainers and members of K-9 guidance are very friendly and welcoming. It’s like one big dog loving family. They offer one on one lessons as well as group classes. Group classes are held every Wednesday afternoon/evening and Sunday classes usually begin around 10 a.m.. Lu also breeds beautiful GSD I don’t own any of his dogs but I know many of them hold trophies and medals in Shutzhund. My friend ALMOST used this place but we were all shocked they wanted her to starve her dog for 2 days prior to training. A dog that was abused and starved before. Thos is evil and cruel. Of course you get results when you stave them. Giant red flag here.

K9 Guidance offers an amazing dog training experience. Louis really knows his stuff. I feel comfortable approaching him with questions regarding my dog and he goes above and beyond with customers teaching them the proper techniques to train. Class is family friendly. I really enjoy the puppy class and the bite work/protection class as well.

Luis specializes in German Shepherds, but welcomes and embraces all breeds, including my goofy, spirited rescue, a dog of many questionable bloodlines. You’ll find the training at K9 Guidance to be honest and direct, but above all, you’ll see great passion and the love of working with all dogs in all skill levels. Luis and his helpers do an amazing job training dogs, yet are equally skilled at training their handlers, promoting permanent improvements in your dog’s behavior and skills.
Word of warning! You’ll also see the occasional litter of adorable little fur-balls at the facility and might find yourself going home not only with your beautifully trained companion, but also an adorable German Shepherd puppy with an impressive lineage.
