Our little Dachshund had a great experience with Gabe at K9 Answers. Gabe was very responsive and helpful - and worked with our dog for three weeks to get a solid core of commands down. We've been able to translate the majority of the training to our daily routine. Again - many thanks to Gabe!

We had an issue with our 1 year old French bulldog. He developed an issue at about 11 months where he started to become aggressive toward me and my husband but mainly me. A belly rub or simply ear cleaning would set him off. Sometimes the sound of a dresser drawer opening would do it for him and he would snap. I became terrified of my own pup. I needed To get him the help he needed and I turned to a good friend of mine and asked for her guidance. She had done the same for her German shepherd but she lives in DC. She got recommendations from her trainer to contact K9 Answers and it’s been the best decision of my life. I filled Out the questionnaire and was contacted by Maiah immediately. We setup and appointment for evaluation and Gabe came out to meet Bleu. He assessed him and said he would be able to correct his issues and felt it was a nervous or anxiety issue he was having. They worked with Bleu for 3 weeks. He came back to us as a new dog. I can’t believe the changes in my dog. They were patient and loving. I can tell how much Gabe and Maiah cared for my dog and how well he was treated. I would definitely recommend K9 Answers to anyone who is having any type of issue with their dog. I trust trust them wholeheartedly with anyone of my pets. I really Can’t say enough about them. Thank you! Thank you! 💙

I did several private training sessions with Gabriel when my golden retriever was about 9-10 months old. I was so frustrated with him, and he was getting big enough that he was hard to restrain if he didn't listen to me. He was jumping on visitors to our home, and pulling on walks. We had done all the training we knew how to. I didn't know what else to do. Just a handful of training sessions with Gabriel made a huge difference with my dog. Gabriel gave me specific drills to work on with my dog to address his specific behavior issues. He wrote them down so I could have his instructions when I went home. I didn't even do the drills as often as he suggested, and my dog still turned into a wonderful family dog! My elderly mom had been scared that he would knock her over in his enthusiasm because he would jump on visitors. Now he no longer jumps on people, and my mom loves his calm, sweet temperament so much that she babysits him when I am out of town. I am working towards getting him certified as a therapy dog now, which was impossible before Gabriel's help!!

K9 Answers is an amazing training company for all fur babies! We sent our 10 month old Great Dane puppy to see Gabe and he did such a great job training him! We did the three week program which was exactly what Ansel needed. He came back well trained on the leash, no more jumping or trying to run out of the house! The money was well worth it and I would definitely recommend them for any dogs training needs!

After meeting with several companies we felt Gabe and Maia were the perfect fit for our pup Milo. They focus on positive reinforcement and some other tools that really help you make progress with a more hyper and determined dog like ours. When Milo came back from his 3 week board and train he no longer thought of us as his litter mates but as a more polite part of our family/pack. He’s been a pleasure to walk on the leash now, he listens more and understands how to follow commands. Amazing job and we would recommend K9 Answers to anyone without hesitation!

Sent my wild, giant, defiant 6 month old Doberman to K9 Answers for 3 weeks...Previous trainer said he was “untrainable” and told me to get my money back and send him back to the breeder. He came back from K9 Answers a whole new dog! So much more manageable, and more responsive to me as Alpha. Very good price for the quality of work they put in. They love your doggies like their own (Lincoln wanted to leave with Gabe when he was dropped off). Love that they use Instagram for updates too!

Lincoln still has much room for improvement, as do I as his new “trainer” but I feel so much more confident now that he’s been conditioned by Gabe and Maya. And they equip you with the best tools to use for life! Will definitely be coming back to them for training sessions if needed and boarding for trips! Can’t recommend K9 Answers enough!

Gabe and Maiah are an amazing duo! I don't even know where to begin with this. I first messaged K9 Answers on IG after having a terrible experience with another dog trainer. Maiah was so professional and answered A LOT of my questions before I agreed to do the consultation. Our dog had very bad resource guarding and I was so unsure if anyone or anything could solve our issue. The day of our consultation, K9 Answers was ready to work and was like "Ok feed him, give him a treat, etc" and was direct in wanting to see our issue. It was very clear they wanted to see the issues and situations that I struggled with to understand what work needed to be done. K9 Answers prioritizes your pet in ensuring they are set up for success as pets. It is clear that they have a strong love and passion for dogs and want to do what's best for them. Because of that, it made our decision easier to proceed with a 3 week board and train. It was hard to not have our dog for 3 weeks, but Gabe made a very strong point in that "it's only 3 weeks, but you'll have your dog for the rest of their lives" and that really stuck to me. End of the day, you want what's best for your dog and they want the same. When Murphy came back after 3 weeks he had mastered some obedience skills. His resource guarding was almost gone. K9 Answers provided the tools and knowledge to maintain his training and to continue working through the resource guarding behavior. Although we fell back on maintaining our training ourselves, they are always so responsive on IG if I have any issues/questions. We did a few refresher sessions a few months after our board and train and it was so helpful to get more feedback on how to improve on training our bond and to continue setting him up for success. Overall, we have nothing but good words for K9 Answers as they helped so much in training our dog and fixing our dog's resource guarding.

A little late to this review but better late than never...! (March 2020)

I learned about K9 Answers through another trainer referral and decided on them after following and watching their training methods on Instagram. My 9 month old pup at that time developed dog reactivity through my fault from taking her to dog parks too often (I know better now). Because of issue, I dreaded taking her outside for walks (my neighborhood has a lot of dogs) or even on hikes because I knew it was a tough time getting her to focus on me versus the other dog. I went with a 3 week board and train with them and I could not be happier with the outcome! I felt like I had a changed dog when they dropped her back off. K9 Answers trained her on the foundations of obedience and conditioned her to the e-collar (not to be confused with a shock collar) which were the main things I was looking for. I can now trust her not running out of the door when it opens, not lunging / barking at other dogs on walks/hikes/outings, and especially a strong and reliable recall (both on and off-leash). We have continued to build on her training and it's safe to say that my relationship with my dog has grown immensely now that there is a clear communication between us and what is expected of her with the right training tools. I can't thank Gabe and Maiah for all the work they put into their own and other clients' dogs!
