I took my 15 month hyperactive Pyrenean shepherd to be trained by Eddie Hicks last fall. He stayed 8 weeks & we came to visit him each week. He trained him with the e-collar & it has truly been life changing. I can take him off the leash to the park & he immediately comes & sits by me with just the vibrate/tone mode. He is very obedient with command of “come”. Eddie is firm when training but Chester, our dog came back the same, happy dog that we left. Eddie understands the amount of discipline without destroying the dogs spirit. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to train your dogs & we trust them. When we go on vacation we even send him back for boarding. The cost is extremely reasonable & worth every penny. It could save your dogs life.

I started using Eddie 3 years ago after my long time trainer retired. I had a very poorly trained 18 month old female Lab. Eddie did a great job fixing her. We had a great duck season together in the 2022-23 season. Sadly, she died of pythiosis, a very rare situation. Eddie was very supportive during this period and worked to find me another dog. We were successful. I found an 18 month-old partially trained dog. Eddie has worked with my new male Lab in several 2 month intervals over the past year. I am very pleased with where my dog is now and have high expectations for how he will perform this upcoming duck season.

I use Eddie to board my dog as well. I am often gone for 2 or more weeks at a time. My dog is very happy and safe there. He gets lots of exercise and interaction with other dogs.

Highly recommended. Eddie does a great job and has top notch retriever/ bird dog training facilities, close to the city. I've trained with Eddie, and have boarded here going on 5 years.

Eddie worked with my young, energetic lab pup from basic obedience through fetch training, providing a good training foundation going forward. I have a dog now who loves to retrieve, obeys commands, and, is calm when it's not work time.
