We had decided to drive up to check the store out. We decided on buying 2 Different breeds of snakes On the long drive home I had decided to check on them make sure they were okay when opening the bags I found that both of the snakes were covered in mites. When we got home we had to quarantine them and treat them they are finally in their new homes and doing great the customer service while we were there was good the store was nice if it was not for the condition of our snakes when we got them I would have given them 5 stars

Super knowledgeable staff; lots of variety in pets! I bought a russian dwarf hamster here at 9 months old and he lived for two years after that! They take really good care of their animals, and the store is clean. I recommend this store 100%!

Been in twice and both times I could feel the tension in the air . Seems like a couple runs the place and they are very angry . My second visit they couldn’t wait for me to exit so they could continue fighting . Poor animals hear that ! Also bought a betta that passed less than 3 days later . I called them to say the fish was very sick . No refund was offered . I want a bird and called to ask when they might have a variety . Was lied to by the man who told me the closest place to find a bird would be Farmington. Not true Durango is closer . So they don’t care about their customers much !!! I will not be back and that’s a shame considering I just moved to Corte and will always seek out pet stores . Oh and one more thing , some of the fish tanks are full of ick !! Heads up people .

Owners will make a high value sale to you and act like you’re a valuable customer, don’t be fooled, you’re a price tag to them. If you take the time to read to reviews, the bad ones are most accurate.
I had a good experience in the beginning, that’s because I was spending a lump sum. Once time had passed and they saw I was no longer a value, they changed “policies”. Same daughter father management. I used to be a big advocate for this place, knowing their animal care was subpar at absolute BEST.
However stupidly excused them for their willingness to find “quality” (willing to pay the most) homes.
They told me the price of a hedgehog then changed the price once then saw a higher value in looks within a few days. Refused to work with me in the slightest knowing I was a loyal customer. It can be traced in messages. This place does not value loyal customers over a SALE. Trust the bad reviews I WISH I did.

I found this place on a search. Wasn't sure they would have what I needed as I have a roughly 1000 gallon pond outside. They had everything I needed there besides all the great other things they had for aquariums. This is a much needed stop at place if you have koi ponds on down to aquariums. Surprising how much stuff they had at all levels of Pets!

The owner is very knowledgeable and helped me find the best things for my new fish. They also have a great selection of snake food both frozen and fresh. I got a golden Algae eater he is the best thing ever for my tank! The little dude made quick work cleaning EVERYTHING and has kept the tank so nice and clean. We named him Jeffery and I love him♡ all the fish are healthy and very well taken care of. I just told him what my needs where and he found me my Jeffery. It is worth the drive to go here and worth every penny you spend. 10/10 would recommend 👌
