I am so in love with our Yellow English Lab, Tate who we got from her in early November. Our experience purchasing a puppy from Bonnie has been the best, most intimate experience. From the day the puppies are born until pickup time Bonnie emails weekly with updates on the pups and posts often on social media pictures of them and their growth. She’s always available to answer any questions and she’s clear and concise about her process and policies.

Bonnie has a beautiful peace of property where she raises the puppies and their parents with great care. She’s so passionate about being the best in what she does and it shows!

Got a female chocolate lab, Sierra, from Bonnie just over 6 years ago and she has been the most amazing dog! Very well tempered and was very responsive to the training that I started just a few months after bringing her home. She quickly learned all the basics after just a few sessions and has turned out to be the perfect dog. Sierra loves spending time with me no matter what I’m doing and is the perfect amount of energy and lazy. She’s happy being outside with me, running around the property, or lying next to my feet when I watch TV.

This is the 3rd chocolate lab that I was on a waiting list for as the first 2 breeders took my deposit- one didn’t return my calls and the other didn’t refund my deposit after the litter didn’t make it. Bonnie was responsive from the very beginning and stayed in contact with me as the time for her litter came closer. She sent weekly pictures of the litter which was super cool because I got to watch the progression of them from a newborn till the time I picked her up. Of course I got my heart set on the ‘purple collar’ female but I was last pick so didn’t get my hopes up since I wasn’t first pick. Turns out, the ‘purple collared’ puppy was the one that I got to bring home!

A great experience getting Sierra from Japatul Labs and wouldn’t ever think about going to any other breeder for a lab! Thank you Bonnie for not only breeding labs with amazing genetics, but spending such quality time with the pups from the very beginning!! It totally shows that she was a well taken care of puppy when I picked up Sierra!

My husband and I wanted a chill yellow lab puppy with good temperament. I did some research and found Japatual Labradors. I was sold immediately by how thoughtful their website was and the care it shined through. We got on the waiting list and Bonnie has been super informative throughout the way.

We finally got River home in early Nov and it has been a month. We both love her so much. She's the perfect dog we dreamed about. River is very sweet and smart and has a great temperament. While she loves playing fetch and tug of war, she can easily settle down in her crate/playpen (or underneath the bed or couch if her heart desires) to enjoy some alone time too. River sleeps through the night like a pro. She's adorable when she makes those cute yawning noises in the morning, being lazy to get out of the "bed".

She's curious and brave. She likes exploring the backyard and chewing on bark and leaves (that's actually her favorite thing to do) and she never seems to be bothered by the random city noises.

It's the best decision I made by choosing Japatual Labradors. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a great breeder.

We purchased a female chocolate, Lola, from you back in 2007. Unfortunately, we just had to say goodbye to our sweet Lola yesterday. Our hearts are broken, but we loved every moment with her.

I am sure you hear wonderful things about your dogs from people, but I wanted to share how much Lola meant to us. My husband had a terrible work accident in 2006 where he fell 35 feet off a power pole. Miraculously, he wasn’t paralyzed, but broke his back and shattered his leg. He had a long road to recovery ahead of him and was battling chronic pain, depression and anxiety. He was lost and felt like he had no purpose because he wouldn’t be able to work or live at the same capacity like he did before his accident. What he wanted most was a dog to keep him company. This is where Lola enters our lives.

I remember going to pick her out. We were surrounded by all of Decoy and Arial’s girls. Your daughter was there telling us all about each puppy. One of the puppies just wanted to be pet and have her belly rubbed. She was wearing a color with happy faces on it. That was it. Kevin fell in love. As soon as we could, Lola started taking obedience classes. This gave Kevin a purpose. There were days that Kevin didn’t want to get out of bed due to pain and depression, but knowing he had to walk Lola got him up everyday. Those two were inseparable. They became quite the dynamic duo.

When Kevin first got hurt, he lived in a rehab center for 1 month on bed rest. A young lady in a wheelchair would visit Kevin on a regular basis. She would bring in her dog Molly, which would make Kevin’s day. Kevin decided he wanted to give back and started taking classes to become certified as a Pet Partner allowing him and Lola to provide emotional support to others. Lola has visited many nursing homes and assisted living facilities over the years. She also loved playing with all the kids in our neighborhood. Lola even came to my work at Butte College to help relief stress for students taking mid-terms and final exams. Doing all these things with Lola gave Kevin a purpose again.

Lola was the kindest and sweetest dog I have ever known. I believe Lola’s purpose was to help my husband recover and survive his injury. She far exceeded any expectations as a pet. In return, raising Lola to be the best dog and share her joy with others was Kevin’s purpose.

Thank you for giving us almost 14 years of wonderful memories with Lola. She changed our lives and the lives of others. We can’t wait to start another adventure with our next Japatul Labrador.

A Love

We are getting our second puppy from Japatul Labradors and all I can say is Bonnie is the Best breeder I have ever worked with. We have gotten puppies from other breeders in the past and no one has been as thorough about there business as her. Not only is her facility immaculate and orderly , her dogs are well mannered, happy, healthy and content. She keeps her perspective buyers well informed throughout the entire process. When you come out to visit, she requires you to disinfect your shoes before walking out to where the dogs and puppies are.

Her puppies come well socialized with people, places and things. She works incredibly hard at her business and it shows in the quality of her dogs.

If you are looking for a Lab puppy, you will not be disappointed coming to this breeder.

I had an extremely positive experience with Japatul Labradors approximately 5 months ago. I was “ frantically“ trying to find a quality Labrador puppy because we had to put down our 12 year old female. Bonnie didn’t have a puppy available, but another local breeder had a female.
