David was kind enough to take me and my horse in during the LA wildfires. I spent a week at Isola Farms and cannot gush enough about how wonderful it is up there. First of all, David is a lovely knowledgable horse person who runs a very tight ship. The stables/stalls/turnouts/arenas were impeccably clean and all of the horses were happy and extremely very well cared for. All the boarders were kind and welcoming and I could tell everyone got along. My horse settled in immediately and what started out as a stressful evacuation turned into a mini vacation. Not only did I get to ride in arenas with top-notch footing, but I got to go out and explore the rolling hills and horsetrails right off the property. It was a dream, and it made me wish I lived in Portolla Valley so I could board at Isola! I also want to give a big thanks to Luis, who helped answer all my questions and kept the aisle I was staying in so tidy. Thank you Isola Stables!!!

I had to sue them. Incredibly dishonest barn business owner who allowed my fully leased horse to be ridden by others, effectively double dipping. I got the impression that the business only cares about making as much money as possible at the expense of your riding and personal safety. Never fell off as much as I did at this barn, and I saw a lot of other people fall off and get hurt as well during my time there because David doesn't match horses and riders well.

The horses are great, the management is friendly and horse care oriented and the lessons are excellent. This is a great barn - they’re hard to come by! I have been here 4 years and am having the time of my life!

Traditions TLC

Sara is my trainer here and her teaching style is very sweet but firm. She met me at my riding level and started building my riding skills from my level. She really knows what she's doing...which in turn is great for me. The riding school is really nice because there is a ton of property to take the horses around. Arthur was the most gentle horse I have ever been on, just a light squeeze gets him posting. He was very lovable and easy to learn on.

I have been a boarding and training client at this AMAZING facility for close to 20-years. I have had my horses stabled in both stalls and paddocks with shelters, and I have been extremely happy with the meticulous care and training they have all received... A program catered for you and your horse.

Throughout my 30-years+ of riding this is the facility that I have come to call my second home and where I have established a supportive barn family. I can trust that my horses will always be taken care of when I am away. The training for both horse and rider with Isola Stables is exceptional. David Murdoch and Amanda Fisher have found me two outstanding horses that have competed successfully on the H/J A-circuit all over the West Coast and in Canada.

Glenoaks Equestrian Center is a true gem that maintains a laid-back family atmosphere, all while being a competitive show barn. 1000 acres of trails for our OWN use. Large paddocks. All-weather arenas and a eurowalker! Happy horses and happy riders. Who can ask for more?
