The absolute best dog daycare and boarding around! My pups always have the best time here. They are sound asleep as soon as we get to the car from all their playtime and activities. Love to have the peace of mind that when I leave my pups here they are very well taken care of.
Love what Howling Peaks offers, they really care here ❤️

I wanted to send my new pup to daycare. Called staff and shared vaccine records and was assured that he would be ok to proceed with temperament test. When my husband arrived they said they wouldn’t see him due to him not having bordatella which I completely understand and we were happy to reschedule; however, they decided to charge my card without authorization and said we forfeit the deposit for not being prepared after I was told it would be ok by staff. When called and asked about the charge and if we’d be charged at the time of reschedule, they said yes we forfeit the deposit for taking up a slot even though we showed up on time and the had even staff said “oh we missed that, this is our fault.” My husband contacted Holly whom just wanted to lecture him about vaccines and not take any accountability. Judging by other reviews on here, I can tell she has poor customer service skills and instead of addressing an issue she puts blame on the customer. I’m actually happy this happened and we won’t be sending our pup here. A day care that is more worried about collecting charges than the care of your pup! We have since found a much better daycare that has strong communication skills.

*EDIT to response* Staff said they would re-schedule the DAY of free of charge if we could get the one vaccine that day when his appointment was in the afternoon and no vets were available to get him in. Which shows their knowledge base because even if the vaccine was completed that day, the full affect would not take place for 10-14 days, so realistically it would be unsafe for him to attend even if the vaccine was received day of.

Manager must also have a name Holly that claims she is the owner because he asked to speak to the owner or maybe the staff are just gaslighting us.

I understand the policy and I am not upset about him needing to be re-scheduled. The point of the review is to show how money hungry this company is. Holly, just wants to continue to lecture us about vaccines while the problem at stake here was not addressed. I even gave them a week before posting the review to give the business time to make the problem right.

We have boarded our dog here for the last few years and they still are trying to bilk us for "3 half days" to acclimate our dog to the facility. For new customers, ok I can see why it's necessary.
For repeat loyal customers, it's a scam! We did the temperament test the first time. Did the 3 half days the year after that. I think they are trying to make every cent they can off us, when it already costs quite a bit to use their services. Not to mention our dog came home with Kennel Cough last year. It's a shame and we will seek other boarding. Place was better under the previous owner.

*Edit: Their policy says: "New boarding clients are required to complete 3 half days of daycare prior to boarding". Not "ALL", but "NEW". No after 1 year exception listed. It's an easy way for them to collect additional funds. Conveniently no mention of the Kennel Cough in their email reply or review reply either. She did make sure to detail for the world my business history, which is completely unprofessional and shows her maturity level.

*Edit: Go ahead and read the above again. There was no name calling, which again speaks to the maturity of the owner "Holly". If you can't handle an honest review, you should not run a business.

We initially signed up for private training at Howling Peaks for our 1 year old pup who had developed strong reactivity toward strangers for no apparent reason. We had never experienced a dog with stranger danger before. He is not dog-reactive and has never shown any aggression toward us or our two young kids, even when they're rambunctious. On his first vet visit he bit the vet who approached him too quickly and he then bit a family member who does not live in our home.

We have been training with Justin Macias, who has been a huge help to us. He's patient, incredibly informative and has a positive non-judgmental approach to training. He has given us the skills to manage our dogs reactivity and after a lot of hard work in class, at home and outside the home, we have seen so much improvement. At the end of our 4th class, Justin actually knelt down and ruffled our dog's fur in a long pet! A huge milestone for us as it was the first time in the 9 months we've had him that anyone outside of our immediate family has been able to pet him.

We had a temperament test with Holly as well as the other staff who are all equally as great with dogs. He passed his temperament test and is able to join in daycare fun that will help with his socialization and stranger exposure too. I highly recommend getting in touch with Howling Peaks and committing to spend the extra time and effort at home if you're struggling with behavior issues with your dog. We are so grateful we found them.

Howling Peaks dog training is a one person operation, with an excellent dog trainer. She uses positive techniques to help dogs and people understand each other, and to help dogs become contributing members of the family. Our dog is a rather difficult breed- intelligent and wily; but also funny and loving. Holly was able to help us teach her to behave properly in the house, respond to most commands, and now we can take walks with our canine friend. I highly recommend Howling Peaks for personalized dog training!

Our dog just finished a two week boarding stay at Howling Peaks. Every aspect of her care was done with thought, care and professionalism. Communication was constant and precise with our dog’s wellbeing continually monitored. She loves going here and is always greeted by familiar, friendly people who love dogs.
Detailed care was given to her food, exercise, down time, hygiene, socialization and health. Highly recommended!
