My experience with Bre And all the employees at Helping Hounds has been great. Everyone was very knowledgeable and kind and really know what they’re doing when it comes to training dogs. I would definitely recommend Helping Hounds to anyone that needs to have their dog trained.

Helping Hounds did a great job with our little (wild child)cocker Ellie. We have so much more control of her since the training she received there. Really brought some calm to our home. Look forward to be able to finish up our one on one training when weather is warmer.

The trainers are Helping Hounds know their stuff, and its well worth the time and money. As long as you're willing to train and work with your dog, you'll undoubtedly see success with them.

My wife and I came to Helping Hounds because our Poodle, Plum, was reactive to both kids and other dogs. We desperately needed help to curb that reactivity and to help him handle the instincts and feelings he was dealing with.

We worked with Bre, and she was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable, and great at teaching us. She was kind and gentle with Plum, taking the time to understand where his reactivity was stemming from, and instructing us how best to work with him on overcoming it.

Her instructions were always simple to follow and remember. She would give us some homework to do at home with Plum, and some goals to achieve between our private lessons. Her training styles are flexible and adaptable, and she works with you on making sure that your dog is getting the best care and training it can.

Since completing our private lessons, it's almost like we have a whole new dog! He's gone from barking at every thing and person that walks by the house, or even by us in person, to staying by my side and being calm. Or, if something is just a bit too much for him, he will at least listen to me now when I call his name and attempt to work with him through whatever situation is agitating him.

Seeing the change from Plum being anxious and pent up, to finally relaxing and enjoying the lavish life of a house pet, brings me so much joy.

Thank you!

We love Helping Hounds!!!!
Our bull mastiff/golden retriever mix has been having issues with resource guarding and overall just pushing our other two dogs’ buttons. We did the Academy program, followed by personal lessons, and now group lessons— and we’ve seen a HUGE difference with his behavior in these last few months. They actually noticed within 2 weeks of training him that he has vision issues, which is something we nor our vet had realized, and was playing a big part in his reactivity. They were able to cater his training to his specific needs, and took the time to make sure we understood how to do it at home with him too.
Honestly we thought he might be beyond help because he’s so big and dopey, but it’s been a complete 180. We cannot recommend Helping Hounds enough (and special shout-out to Deja, Bear’s favorite trainer— although EVERYONE there is great). 🙏🏻 🐶

This place is amazing! My German shepherd mix was a crazy, reactive, with aggressive tendencies, I enrolled him in the 30 day board and train with Bre, he came back a completely different dog! He was so well trained, learned his commands, walked calmly on a leash, and listened so well! He is my shop’s shop dog, and he is doing amazingly well! I am so grateful for Bre and the other trainers who helped train him and made him into the well behaved and obedient dog that he is! I highly recommend this place!

Great experience training at Helping Hounds. We trained with Bre eight years ago and returned with our newest puppy. Lots of experienced and caring people. Deja was our personal trainer. Great job. Highly recommend Helping Hounds.

We adopted a dog that unfortunately is very distrusting of humans and was also very reactive, and aggressive. We had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into or how to work with him. We are very grateful to Bre for giving us the tools to train Francisco and get him to a point where he is no longer reactive to people in public spaces and is more pleasant to walk. He has also learned to stop chasing our cat and allows her to roam around the home.
