Adoption with no surprises! These wonderful people spent time getting to know the dog we adopted. They had clear information about her, her energy level, her skills, and areas she needed a little work. We have had her in our home for over 3 weeks now and she is adjusted and happy. Della is learning to herd balls to use her natural abilities and energy. She impresses us daily with her desire to teach us something she can do and loves to show off how smart she is.

I had an amazing experience adopting two unrelated kitties from Hart County Humane Society in January, 2021. All of the volunteers and staff were friendly and gracious, offering assistance when I needed it and patiently waiting as I took my time making my decisions. At least one person at HCHS (usually several) was knowledgeable about the personality, health and backstory of each of the cats I chose. The kitties who now rule my house, formerly known as Raven and Havana, are healthy, playful, well-socialized animals (and faithfully use their litter boxes). Yes, there were a few delays in initial email and phone contact with the humans at HCHS, but my advice to potential adopters: please recognize that most of the staff ARE VOLUNTEERS. Be patient but persistent, and you’ll be rewarded with a healthy, well-loved animal previously well nurtured by HCHS.

I love being there it makes me happier to help those little baby. It is just how cural. That people hurt animals that is not in my nature. Those animals have heart to and the bleed just like use. It make feel good to help animals that people don’t love. Everytime I go in I just love to say hi to my baby. I have a good heart and I love animals and people but the most part. Family comes first but I still would love to adopt the animals. I care a lot about them.

I adopted Josie, a beautiful and healthy black and white neutered girl (a young adult cat) from the Hart County Humane Society on January 23, 2021. What a joy it is to have been so blessed to cross paths and be able to adopt and be Josie's forever guardian and that she picked us. She is a wonderful and much loved addition to our family.

How fortunate we are to live in a rural area that has such a loving and dedicated group of individuals who are willing to give of their time, resources and love in order to help the animals in our area. All are just as much heroes as those who fight and defend our constitution!

Safe travels and God Bless those who devote so much of their time energy and love caring for and helping God's creatures both large and small.

No - kill cat and dog rescue facility housing a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, ages and sizes of dogs, cats and kittens to choose from both at HCHS and in foster homes. Many of these animals were scheduled to be euthanized at other facilities simply due to over - crowding. Low - cost spay neuter certificates (including rabies vaccination!) for dogs and cats are also available for Hart and Franklin county residents. Help end the over-populatuon problem by either spreading the word about or gifting someone with a certificate for their unaltered dog or cat. You can also make a difference in these animals' lives by adopting, fostering, volunteering and/or donating!
