Terrific experience with Happy Spa Dogs pet grooming service. Very quick response to our inquiry. The scheduling process was efficient. The results are awesome…our little dog was nervous at first but Sunny (groomer) was so sweet and gentle that our “baby” was happy, bouncy, and smiley in no time! Jessica of Happy Spa Dogs Mobile Grooming came by and groomed my little dog this morning, and she did such an awesome job! She was very patient, gentle, and sweet with my Oliver, which gave me such peace of mind. She gave him the cutest haircut ever! I booked this mobile grooming service in October trying to plan ahead of our dog needing grooming because my wife and I had a newborn and didn’t want it to go too far without getting our fur baby groomed — especially as our life got busy with our newborn — and because we knew we’d want family photos soon that included our doggo.

I booked for a weekday morning at a specific time and was told that I’d get a phone call when the groomer was on the way. Time and date rolls around and no phone call. Twenty minutes pass by, and I text and call their office phone. Get a call back saying they’ll contact the groomer to call me. No text or call, but groomer eventually arrives.

I explain that our dog is very anxious and nervous, but sweet. I also ask them not to use any scents (because newborn). 35 minutes later, there is a knock on my door and I happily receive my dog, thank the groomer, and go on my merry way.

Hours later, as I sit holding my newborn, I notice the disaster of a haircut that my dog was given AND the scent they used on her that remained on her for days to come. With everything, there is a skill and an art to someone’s practice. This groomer had neither the skill nor the art. You can visibly see the lines going in every direction in which the groomer tried shaving my dog. I immediately called Vicky at the business main line, and left a very disgruntled voicemail detailing my discontent, the terrible situation and how our family photos had to be postponed. I texted photos (attached here) of the haircut, she texted back saying she had left me a voicemail the same day. She told me to call back so they “could fix the situation” — I was curious how they fix a disaster haircut. But I called back and reached their voicemail, urging her to call me back so I could speak to someone and at least understand what happened and if this is common for them. I never heard back. I was honestly going to let it go, until they texted me reminding me that it has been 6 weeks since my fur baby was groomed and that it was time to book her next appointment. This was in the same message thread where you can see the photos I texted and where the last message they sent was that they left me a voicemail.

Would stay far away from this grooming service.

My sweet Carlie has probably a couple weeks left with us. She is 14. Kim took great care of her and gave her a dry bath and brushed her out. She was very sensitive and she took her time with her. She also took care of my 13-year-old Charlie and groomed him up perfectly.
