We don't recommend this shop, especially if you have a Schnauzer. They cut off his skirt, didn't trim in ears, his tail was untouched and frankly, we don't think they even brushed him. The cuts/trim on his body are jagged, not straight and are different lengths. Very disappointing. This $88 groom for a 15 year old, 13 lb. mini Schnauzer was not worth it. We now need to take him to a real groomer to fix the cut.

WE LOVE GROOMINGDALES!

The secret's out--my partner and I love Groomingdales, which is a gem of a grooming shop north of the bridge. We couldn't recommend this groomer enough.

Our Aussie comes to the shop regularly for his grooming and he never fails to come back looking supremely handsome. We are always so happy with the groomer's work and are always impressed by her attention to detail!

The groomer is extremely attentive to our requests and mindful to our needs when we ask for a cut, making sure our pup is groomed exactly how we want. It's clear that she has a wonderful temperament with the dogs she works with (and I can only imagine she has to deal with some very challenging dogs and owners...).

Groomingdales' prices feel totally reasonable for the service they provide, and I've seen other groomers in the area charge much more for the same kind of service. The great price and the better service make it a no-brainer for us to keep coming back here.

Treat yourself and your pup to some wonderful grooming, and make sure you take advantage while you can. I'm sure it won't be long before it'll be hard to get appointments at a gem of a shop like this one!

GROOMINGDALES IS THE BEST!

My dog is clean, shiny, and good smelling every time I pick her up. She Always looks like "Top Dog" or "Best in Show" and I appreciate the care and kindness she recieves when she's there. This groomer is a dog owner as well, and I can see she truly loves all dogs. She is Definitely a top notch groomer, and if you love and care about your dog/s, I recomend you go to Groomindales as well. She has competitive prices, she gives top notch service, and appointments are always within a week or so, not months away like others. Sometimes, but not always (if she's not too busy) I can even get in same day. Don't waste your time "trying" other shops, go straight to Groomingdales. You WON'T be disappointed.

I'm one of those people who don't usually write reviews, however, when it comes to Groomingdales, I feel that it's essential. I've been bringing my poodle and my 130-pound Golden (retriever) to Goomingdales since they opened, and I've been totally satisfied every time - somewhere around 6/7 visits now. My dogs look excellent every time, and my Golden always looks like I took her to a Large dog Specialist - Amazing! When I pick my dogs up they are always clean, smelling good, and trimmed up beautifully. I used to wash my golden myself, but I'm just not as good at it as Groomingdales, and for the price, it's just a no brainer... take them to Groomingdales! If you're a large dog owner, you know it's getting tougher and tougher to find places that take large dogs, and Groomingdales has no problem accepting them, AND, they do them for a very fair price - in my opinion. I've looked around, and some places charge OVER $50.00 more than Groomingdales for large dogs. My poodle always looks great too - clean, smells good, and trimmed up professionally. I HIGHLY recommend Groomingdales with 5-stars, and I'd give 6 or even 10 if I could. Friendly people, clean place, great work, fair pricing... what more could you want? Oh yeah... and I've never had to wait 2/3 months for an appointment, like at other places. Great job, Groomingdales... thank you! That's all... highly recommend.

I have a big 140lb. dog, and when it comes to big dogs, there aren’t many places to choose from in Sonoma for grooming. My dog was in desperate need of a bath, and I called Groomingdales and was able to get an appointment the very next day. How convenient! They were very professional and friendly and the price was right, so I decided to have him trimmed as well. Archie looked awesome when he was done! He was clean and shiny, and his cut looked great. I’m really glad I found Groomingdales.

TERRIBLE! Called to make an appointment for my cat, clearly states on their website that they groom cats, Anyways, some terribly rude woman answered my call and told me that they don’t groom cats and then immediately hung up the phone. Never taking my dog or cat here again!

Very rude and unprofessional owners. Never once “raised my voice”, I only asked a simple question that was disregarded very quickly by the owner hanging up the phone on me. I feel like that is not the way to treat a potential customer… I would’ve been more than happy to except any recommendations for other groomers if they owner didn’t abruptly hang up on me. Small business or not, you shouldn’t treat potential customers the way the owner treated myself.

If you have a standard poodle, avoid this place. I asked the groomer to trim the hair around my dog's feet. Her comment was "they wiggle too much". I asked her again if she could try to trim the hair around the nails. Her answer was "yes". When I picked up my dog, it was clear no attempt was made to trim hair on his paws. He has clumps of hair on the feet and the top of his head looks awful --- very little or no hair was trimmed from his head. I asked the groomer why she had not trimmed the hair on the feet and she giggled, then said "oh, you wanted that done". Perhaps this business specializes in grooming other breeds but definitely not for standard poodles.
