About 18 years ago I became visually impaired, my Vet suggested I look into training a service dog. I had worked with Connie to train my cocker spaniel and was extremely happy with the results so I approached Commie and she was willing to help. With her k owl edge and expertise we trained My Doberman as a guide and had her evaluated by a state orientation and mobility trainer. That person could not believe that Frida did not come from a guide dog school. The whole experience was a blessing. I really appreciate all Connie did for me. Frida even alerted to blood sugar issues.

Connie does not use any negative methods period. Prong or shock colors, so the bond between dog and owner is amazingly strong. Anyone who endorses the use of prongs, shock or even choke chains is looking for a quick insignificant fix. I am not into hurting my dog. I have seen the aggression caused by these methods and cannot respect them.

Edit: I messaged them about an apprenticeship, and because I believe in using different methods based on what the dog will succeed with, she called me arrogant and told me I will learn a hard lesson. Not to mention after telling her I wasn’t interested in the training, she continued debating about it. Then says I’m inflicting pain on my dog for choosing to use a tool that isn’t harmful unless it’s in the wrong hands, in which it is not. Also I use an ecollar not a shock collar, you should know the difference. She was very unprofessional when talking to me. Hence the rating. Not to mention her misidentifying me and using the wrong pronouns, without question.
Also to clarify I am against shock collars and choke chains, and I’m okay with a prong and ECOLLAR.

I don’t know how her training is, but the way she handled that conversation was just not okay. It could have been handled a whole lot better. Also a review is opinion based so no it isn’t immature. I’m writing a review based on my experience when speaking with you. Which wasn’t very good.

Also if you’re a service dog handler, she had said she trained a service cat. Though they aren’t recognized by state or federal law as service animals, so shouldn’t be labeled as one. Instead should be labeled as a task trained pet.

If things were handled better, and she didn’t go talking about how she was laughing at my response on her private page, all because I didn’t agree with her belief, I would have just left it be.

Trainer was wonderful! She knows exactly what our dog needs and how sneaky he can be. We had to pause training because he needed extensive surgeries from hip issues but we will start back with her as soon as we can.
