Jasmine is an incredible trainer. She not only helped me with my German pointer/Labrador mix but also my Belgian Malinois Sport Dog I had at the time. Thanks to her I have a fully reliable off leash active companion that I am able to hike with regularly and safely. She also has great house manners and is able to go on “place” for long periods of time. With my sport dog she helped me achieve competitive sport obedience (focused heeling, quick/clean positions, fine tune our marker system, etc). She truly has a good eye and pays attention to details. She does not have a cookie cutter dog training system- She takes the time and effort to assess and make a specific plan for each individual dog.

I am writing to express my concern regarding my recent experience with Jasmine, the dog trainer. After choosing to use a payment plan through a firm she offers as an option, I was informed that my service would no longer be provided, and my payment would be refunded. This made me feel as though my choice to use the payment plan was unfairly judged, and it gave the impression that I was not able to afford the class, despite the payment plan being a listed option.

It was very disgusting how I got treated think twice about taking your dog here.

Jasmine and the Foundation Canine team are incredible. As a new dog mom, I cried dropping my baby off with Jasmine for a month long board and train, and came back to a happy, confident, eager to train puppy. I feel equipped with the tools and knowledge I learned from Jasmine to continue his training which means we do all of our favorite activities. We can now travel in cross country flights with our dog, go on long trail runs off leash, cohabitate peacefully in our apartment, and embrace whatever the city brings together. Jasmine has continued to check in on our dog over a year later and we’re confident she will stay in our lives for a long long time. We are extremely grateful for this relationship and her expertise!

Foundation Canine and Jasmine have absolutely been crucial to raising my pup to be happy, playful, and well trained. Marley is a bully breed and I started seeing Jasmine when she was 3 months old - she's now 6 months. Jasmine's helped me so much in navigating the puppy phase. From crate training, to building our bond, and playing in ways that my dog needed and wanted. I really can't thank her enough for her guidance and her love for my pup. Raising a dog for the first time can be overwhelming, especially if you've chosen a high-energy breed like an Australian cattle dog or a blue heeler. That was our mistake with our dog, whom we named Blu. As a herding dog, Blu was chaotic and energetic, and our lack of experience only worsened things. Blu developed several bad habits, including aggressive barking, chasing after kids and other dogs, and biting the hands of weary guests. We realized we needed professional help.

After researching and making inquiries, we found Jasmine of Foundation Canine (previously Golden Mal). She was informative and straightforward during our initial conversations, so we proceeded with her services. We did three training packages with Jasmine, each comprising six one-hour private sessions. The sessions were held at a park, and we would always start by giving Jasmine a progress update. Jasmine would address any new questions or concerns since our last meeting. She then provided detailed instructions, walking us through a new training method based on Blu's response and progress.

What we appreciated most about Jasmine was her ethical approach to dog training, prioritizing the well-being and development of the dog. She coached us on how to train Blu and how to be better owners of our chosen breed. Jasmine was like a healthy, hard look in the mirror that helped us adjust our lifestyle for Blu's benefit. Today, Blu is significantly calmer, and both Blu and us, the owners, have learned how to manage her excitement and frustrations in an appropriate setting. Jasmine also prong collar and e-collar trained Blu, but she was cautious with transitioning her to the e-collar, which greatly relieved us. We're grateful for Jasmine's expertise and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional dog trainer.

I had a great time working with Jasmine! She helped me prepare my ESA (a golden retriever) to fly across the country with me for Christmas.
She gave me specific drills to fine tune some of his existing skills and taught me new ones like tucking to fit onto the plane floor below my seat, hind end awareness for navigating narrow rows, and distracted recall with no collar/leash for going through security. Navigating the crowded airport went well, and our actual flight went really smooth! People were surprised when they realized there was a dog on the flight because he was so calm and hidden (as hidden as a 75lb dog can be at least).

Jasmine and Ashley from Foundation Canine are exceptional! First a foremost, Jasmine's incredible behavioral knowledge is unmatched. With her extensive background, we learned the foundations of communication with our dog. We now better understand how to ask and correct our dog and teach so many different tasks! I look forward to returning because training requires consistency and when life brings inevitable unknowns, its helpful to have such a wonderful team supporting us! <3 P.S. Arrow just attended SF Pride for the first time, and for a pup that can be very overwhelming. Arrow did such a great job! We owe it all to Foundation Canine!

I cannot recommend Jasmine highly enough. In short, I have a very fearful and fear reactive rescue pup. When I brought him to Jasmine I was considering rehoming him. I felt at a loss for how to help him. The situation was starting to feel unsafe for me and for him. We spent several months working with Jasmine and I am so incredibly grateful for what she was able to help us achieve. She gave myself and my dog many tools for managing and coping with his anxiety and reactions. Dog training is never an over night process. It requires homework, consistency, and perseverance. What Jasmine gave us is a great foundation which helped both me and my pup to find more trust and confidence in each other and in ourselves. I’m thrilled to be at a place where I can keep my dog and know that we can continue to grow together. I have so much more peace of mind. We certainly wouldn’t be where we are without Jasmine and her team. I would go back to her in a heartbeat if I find we need more support in the future.
