Anthony had my 5 month old GSP pup pointing birds like a seasoned vet on our first 1 on 1 training session. See photo. Dixie is now 14 months old going through her first season and wowing the upland vets in group. This is my first hunting dog, and I love the results of Anthony’s program.

My experience is unique as I partnered with Anthony and his kennel for 9 months Feb-Oct. 7 months of one on ones every 2 weeks and enrolled my pup in his obedience/upland training. I have been able to see just about every aspect of the kennel, daily processes and personally getting to know Anthony.

This man is passionate about the training results and extremely accountable to his client's dogs. He is the type of person that will work 12-18 hours a day 7 days a week in that kennel. If I’m paying good money for a dog training service, I expect the team of trainers to be caring, detail oriented, and truly refuses to be out worked. This is what you pay for and in return will get from Anthony and his team.

I started Dixie in Anthony’s one on one program at 5 months old and she entered his full-time training program at 11 months old. The one on ones are a great training offering for people who need training mentor to provide assistance. I was obsessed with online videos but hit the end of the road and Anthony was great in cleaning up all my handling mistakes I was making while providing guidance on what to do next. This is when I realized he is truly a master at his craft. It’s one thing for a trainer to know how to train a dog it’s another for that trainer to expertly know how to train the handler. Disclaimer this option is a learn at the fetching feathers kennel and train at home program. Your motivation to engage your pups training at home will determine your results.

After 7 months of one on ones I was 100% confident that Anthony would care for my dog as if it were his own and he did exactly that. If you want to know about the kenneling, please go read a few of the many 5 stars reviews from previous clients. They all are spot on with their experiences and I wouldn’t be writing such a positive review if the results weren’t there.

We got our boy Rush from Anthony at Fetching Feathers and got to have the full puppy and kennel experience. We could tell from day one that Anthony puts his heart and soul into every aspect of training and caring for the dogs that go through his program. It was hard to have Rush away from home for three months but Anthony gave us tons of updates with photos, videos, and detailed reports on his training progress and overall wellbeing.
Since we were local, we had the perk of visiting every other week. It didn't matter if we were the first or last visitor of the day, Anthony always took the time to demonstrate Rush's progress across obedience and field work and made sure we were learning the proper handling techniques along the way. The kennel was always so well taken care of and Rush always seemed so happy to be there.
In three months Rush made incredible progress and we could not be happier with the results. Anthony's love and passion for what he does shows through in how he operates Fetching Feathers. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our pup and hope to work with him again in the future!

So, I met Anthony on social media - and when I went to western Colorado, I drove through his town- so I decided to stop by and meet him- it was like we had known each other for years- I knew after leaving his kennel I would bring my next dog to him- so 7 months later I brought my 7 month old German wirehair for 3 months of training- I live 1500 miles away and could not do a drop in visit with her- and that was offered by Anthony-
HOWEVER, I felt like I was able to visit as weekly he would send videos of my pup, texts, and pictures. Multiple times some weeks- I felt like I was there w her- she even went into her first heat while there, and it was handled in stride by Anthony-
Drop off and pick up went smoothly and communication while she was there was beyond reproach really- not what we experienced at our last training facility for a same age pup. HE trains your dog, is involved fully, and has a passion for it. Not about ANYTHING ELSE BUT THE DOG. It was truly a refreshing and positive experience- I would recommend him for your gun dog and for a dog that you want for household/ family pet as well-

I am so glad I found Anthony / Fetching Feathers for help with training my bird dogs. I've heard and seen nothing but great things with his board and train program, but I work with him exclusively for 1:1 training sessions. I've been taking my 15 mo GSP to FF every Saturday morning for weeks now and I'm beyond impressed with my dog's progress. Anthony helped fine tune him just ahead of his NA test and Rip scored a perfect 112. In six sessions I've seen Rip go from wild child to almost completely woah broke. The energy he puts into maximizing our training sessions always leaves me feeling like I got more than I paid for. Anthony is also quick to correcting my bad handling habits, coaches me through everything he's doing, and always leaves me with homework to focus on until the next training session.

If you want a fine tuned bird dog and someone to help iron out a consistent handling approach, you need 1:1 sessions with Anthony.

We are currently doing force fetch for my GSP Finch through 1 on 1 sessions with Anthony. There has been a dramatic progress with each session and we are now moving to the field and actual birds in less than a month. Anthony and the Fetching Feathers team were wonderful to work with. I brought my 7 month old pudelpointer in for his three month hunting and obedience training. I left a puppy with Fetching Feathers and brought home a well trained dog. In the house, she's well behaved and places/heals extremely well. In the field, she's super birdie and eager to hunt. Looking forward to dove season in couple weeks! I highly recommend FF, and a bonus is the one-on-one training you get with your dog, Anthony, and his team every two weeks. Well worth the time and investment.

I cannot say enough good things about Fetching Feathers. As an out of state client, I was apprehensive about the entire process. From start to finish, Anthony was incredible to work with. He helped arrange for transportation to and from Fetching Feathers which provided tremendous peace of mind for me and my family. He provided detailed progress reports throughout the training and sent multiple videos every week that made it feel like we were there and part of the training. He was honest and did not sugar coat things during training and because of that I developed a great deal of trust in him as I knew he wanted what was best for me and for my dog. Our pup is a family dog first and a hunter second and because of the work Anthony and his staff have done with our dog we now have the best of both worlds! Anthony was a great communicator throughout the process and I would highly recommend Fetching Feathers to anyone!

I can see the difference Anthony was able to make with my young setter in just 30 days. He gave us a foundation to train off until his next visit to the ranch. I noticed considerable improvements in his obedience, confidence and nose in a short period of time with Anthony. My setter pup was also developing some pretty bad separation anxiety which Anthony was able to resolve. Anthony genuinely loves training dogs and you can see that in the bond he is able to have with each dog. I would highly recommend anyone looking for bird dog or obedience training book a month or two with Anthony. You won’t regret it!
