I was interested in purchasing a hand fed parakeet from here. I was in contact with the breeder for the parakeets for months. I went to see the birds multiple times and was waiting until they were ready to go. The first clutch I was interested in all died. I posted a picture of the new baby bird I might get in a group and there were many concerns. Sure enough the birds passed away and they had no explanation as to why? Months later I got a text from the woman who breeds the parakeets that my bird is ready, it’s a blue parakeet and it’s a male. My husband and I went to see it and it was similar as the previous clutch that passed away. It had loose stool and it’s bottom looked dirty. I stated my concerns to the man working the back (I’m assuming it was the woman’s husband). He called his wife and had her on speaker phone and they were both angry I decided not to buy the bird. They tried demanding I pay them $30 for a DNA test they said they had done on the bird to find out it was male. I asked them for a receipt, (although I never asked them to DNA test a bird for me) they asked for my address and they would mail me the certificate. When we would not provide our address the man kicked us out of the feather farm. Very hostile people, we were trying to talk to them about it and they acted like they had no time for us. I’m so very sad because I’ve been coming to this place for around 20 years visiting the birds and I loved it there. Below are pictures of the first clutch of parakeets I was interested in buying that didn’t make it.

Arlyta is a very good human. She is extremely understanding and she offers really great birds. We have an amazing cockatiel that we got from her and she has been an absolute love of a bird, so cuddly and healthy. I highly recommend feather farm if you want a sweet bird to have as a lifelong companion.

Absolutely wonderful people, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. I bought two wonderful little cockatiels for the flock I already currently have and I'm only hoping they'll acclimate well. I can tell they're extremely well hand-raised birds and I'm very impressed with how they handle everything with their birds. I would definitely come again and again. Very nice people.

This place has been great! Very helpful and knowledgable! My 12 year old is getting a bird from here and they have gone above and beyond with not only educating us, but making sure we get exactly that right experience! I cannot say enough good about this place! We will be recommending to everyone!

This is my second time purchasing a bird from them. Everyone is so kind and supportive. They want you to have a great relationship with your bird, so they are available to answer all your questions by phone or in person. Love Love Love this place!!

The most selfish money hunger greedy I ever met. Inconsiderate of others. Had me go there at least 20 times . Did paperwork ,put money down ,just to have her turn around and sell it to her friend.
To top.it if after thinking about the entire scene ,not one bird was tame. Her husband wouldn't put his hand in their cages. I wanted to also buy my best friend a bird. Since she was forcing me to buy a ugly cage off her. . So I figured ok if my best friend likes it ill buy it n give it to him..only problem is there wasn't any bird I could buy to put in the cage. They all were wild ,from the 2 hrs 3 times a week ,if she has that much time for them. Go there try to buy a bird. Limited choice. Since her animals are wild from neglect. She puts plenty of food n water . Spends so little time with them that they tear up metal cages. If you need an attack bird, live in a rough part of town. Then this is the place to go. Her birds will attack.
