Seems liked my review keeps getting deleted. Absolutely would NOT recommend. When I picked up my dogs, I let them use the bathroom before getting in the car. I noticed a streak of dry blood on the back leg of one of my dogs. I took a look at it in the car and found a noticeable cut. I went back in to ask Sam about it and she for the life of her couldn’t recall anything happening. She did keep asking if it was by his rear end which caused me to ask if there was anything else I should be aware of. She then tells me that she clipped one of his nails too short but didn’t feel the need to disclose that since “it’s bound to happen out of the 18 nails that needed to be cut.” I’m sorry but what kind of excuse is that. If you are a professional groomer it should be few and far between when it happens. The fact that she felt like she didn’t need to tell me is even more concerning because what else happened, how were my dogs treated? I also expressed my concerns about the last groomer cutting too close to their private areas, well guess what, Sam did too as if she wasn’t listening when I dropped them off. I can tell you that they probably didn’t get any water while there due to the amount they consumed when they got home. I also noticed my other pup walking around uncomfortably and would not stop crying. I looked at her paws and as you can see from the pictures they did something wrong causing her unnecessary pain. Low and behold, sam also clipped one of her nails too short. I would understand if my dogs didn’t behave well and may have caused an issue but when I am told they did great there is no excuse for this. I’m left wondering how my dogs were really treated and how they were returned to me without being told is far from acceptable.

Great store for all your pet food, supplements and grooming! It’s hard to find someone who can groom a cat and Sam did an amazing job on our long haired calico. She was compassionate, took the time needed and made me feel safe leaving her there. I will go back again. Thank you! 😽

Our first time here using the self wash service. Our dogs were scared but the owner was great in getting us setup and trying to making two stinky skunked pups, to feel better. We will be back, hopefully minus the skunk smell!

Have never left a bad review but this was necessary. We brought our dog in for grooming, as we have in the past. Sam was responsible for the grooming the day of this initiating event. Our dog was cut multiple times, one of them bad enough he was bleeding on his neck but it had scabbed over. Within a few hours, he had scratched the cut and was bleeding all over our home.

We left a voicemail with Essential Pet about it and also asking if they sold collars to prevent him from further scratching the cut. No call back at all. We incurred a sizable vet bill for the exam and antibiotics for the cut. We called and left another message for Essential Pets, this time on the retail line. Again, no response.

We then went into the store twice to ask why the call had not been returned. There were various excuses, such as ‘they didn’t receive the call’ to then checking our dogs file and seeing a comment from Sam asking why ‘we didn’t text her since we have her cell’ (she has texted in the past for pickup/wuestions, but this is a business matter so that seemed inappropriate). We have always purchased food there, even though we could purchase the same food at a better cost, because we want to support our local store. But even when we (re)explained our complaints in store, we were given one 10% discount on food and further deferral that “(someone) would tell management and they would get right back to us”

It has been over 2 months with not as much as an apology, any recompense for the additional costs in vet expenses, or even an offer of credit for food. We will no longer be purchasing from Essential Pets or using their grooming services. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. The fact that a small local business cannot even begin to meet the bare minimum of customer service, is sadly why people resort to large chains.

The most amazing experience, first I want to start from saying thank you to Katie Cooper and the lady who attended my toy poodle. Also I want everybody know how amazing was this grooming experience. My wife and I are in love with our toy poodle and the new style.😍😍😍😍 Guys of Essential Pet keep up with the great job!!!
