Very happy with this vet practice. You can tell the Dr. has tons of experience and his staff is friendly and professional. My diabetic dog has "high normal" blood sugar thanks to working with the doc. He is also open minded and knowledgeable of holistic health through diet

A couple weeks ago, our dog sliced her ankle open on a Sunday and needed stitches. She was bleeding all over the place, and I was so worried for her. I called Elk Park Animal Hospital, who is our regular vet, and the voicemail provided Dr. Thompson's personal number for after hours emergencies. He answered right away and met me at the vet a half hour later. He brought me into the back so I could be there with my dog as he put her under and stitched her up. I was grateful for the transparency and ability to watch him work (only because it was Sunday and we were the only people there). His knowledge and expertise in both western and eastern veterinary medicine is a rare gift. Dr. Thompson's presence is also very calm and stabilizing — I was so worried, but he made me feel like everything would be alright, and it was. When we were leaving, he carried my dog to my car for me and then gave me a big hug. We are lucky to have such a skilled vet and welcoming staff care for our fur babies.

Great experience! My dog needed a tooth extracted from a collision and her teeth cleaned. She can be anxious in unfamiliar environments, but when I picked her up, she was as happy as could be. Also, extremely reasonable prices. 10/10 recommend!

Been my 2 Dogs Vet for 11yrs. I travel a lot but come back to Elk Park for all my Dogs needs. Prefer Eastern medicine and Dr. Thompson is an expert has helped my older dog with injuries & aging with herbal remedies that Work!

We were able to get an appointment in a timely manner. They followed up on the phone to see how our gal was doing, and seem to have solved the problem. I appreciate that they have knowledge of herbal and natural remedies, and don't seem to prescribe drugs unnecessarily.

I believe you can count on very good care from this vet. We waited about two months before writing this review as we had been to two vets prior in which they did surgery four times to remove a lump which kept growing back. We were told by one of the other vets that our dog needed chemo to stop it from returning and we didn't want to do that due to the risks. We came here to have it looked at and they decided on surgery but were more aggressive by going deeper to remove whatever seemed to be causing it to come back. It was a success and we are grateful and relieved.

Lola my dog had to have a hernia repaired (surgery but we don't say that around her). It was somewhat a traumatic experience for her. Thankfully the kind and caring care she received made her comfortable and calm as she could be. Thank you again for fixing her belly. She likes the tummy tuck she got out of it).
