We are incredibly grateful for Nick’s attentive and expert dog training services. Both of our boxers entered training at different stages of puppyhood, and thanks to Nick’s guidance, they have become super attentive and well-behaved. Whether we’re walking in public or at home, Nick’s training has given us peace of mind knowing our dogs are keeping us and our kids safe. They’re now excellent travelers during long car rides, and we can confidently stay in dog-friendly hotels with them year-round. We did private 1:1 puppy training for our first pup which gave us the confidence to maintain the fundamentals at home. We also did the board and train for our second pup. We found the board and train to be super effective. Especially since she was motivated to learn and at that point, having two dogs at home with small children, she needed a more focused approach that Nick was able to provide.

Nick’s personalized 1:1 training sessions were invaluable—he offered sound advice at every stage of training, from pre-sessions through to post, and ensured we felt supported every step of the way. Nick at Elevated Canine has been absolutely amazing with our dog. She had almost no training when she started her board and train program and had a couple bad habits. After five weeks with Nick she will heel, sit, lay down, come when called, wait and will go to her bed and stay until she's freed. Nick has been great with communication and updates and has been working to train us too so that we can continue to enforce her training. We were pretty nervous about investing in the training but we are so glad we did. She's been back home for a month and it has made such a difference.

Walter was 1.5 years when I signed up for the 6 week board and train. I struggled with leash pulling, reactivity to any and all dogs wherever we went, jumping, and inconsistent sit and stay. I am an avid hiker and my dream was to have a dog I could trust off leash while hiking. I loved the way Nick handled communicating with me while Walter was in the program. The texts and pictures were appreciated by my kids who missed their dog as well. Once Walt was done it was like night and day. No more leash pulling, no more reactivity, no more jumping. Walter goes everywhere with me now. Hotels, public places, restaurants, hiking. I am constantly asked if he’s a service dog because of how well behaved he is. I am eternally grateful for this experience. It is truly the best investment I have ever made.

We have an incredibly rambunctious 10 month old labradoodle. We drove five hours from home to have him trained by Nick at 8 months old. Six weeks later, we still had a rambunctious 9.5 month old labradoodle, but he actually has manners! He sits, he waits, he stays in ‘Place’, he heels, he walks beautifully on leash, he returns when called - we love it! Nick continues to check in Ollie’s progress even though he completed the program nearly two months ago. We would hands down recommend Nick at Elevated Canine for your pup!

Great training, we have had dogs as kids and adults and never professionally trained. It was the best choice for us and our dog to be able to maximize enjoyment together traveling and hiking. She was just at 6 months and now 1 year. Her puppy is still there but we have a calm fun puppy that listens when needed. Nick did a great job and easy to work with.

We recently had the pleasure of enrolling our energetic one year old Aussiedoodle, Alonso, in Elevated Canine board and train program. We lived about 2.5 hours away from Elevated Canine Bakersfield but Nick came highly recommended so we decided it was worth the drive. The experience has been nothing short of transformative. From the moment we walked through their doors, I knew we were in good hands with Nick.

Nick at Elevated Canine is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. He took the time to understand Alonso’s specific needs and temperament, tailoring his approach to ensure the best results. One of the standout features of Elevated Canine is their personalized training programs. Nick spent time to put together a customized plan that addressed Alonso's unique challenges, such as his jumping, not listening and leash pulling. It was important for us to get these concerns address ASAP as we have a baby one the way. The progress we've seen is remarkable—Alonso is now much more obedient and calm during our walks.

Nick created a positive atmosphere where both dogs and their owners feel comfortable. He is always available to answer questions and provide guidance even after Alonso has come back home. The training facility is —clean and spacious with everything needed for effective training. I was concerned about leaving my very hair Aussie doodle in 100+ degree weather in Bakersfield, but Nick made sure Alonso was comfortable. He even sent me picture updates of the thermostat so I knew my little guy well taken care of. Nick sent us updates regularly which I really appreciated since I missed Alonso terribly. It was obviously that Nick care about our dog and it made us feel comfortable about our decision to leave him with Nick for 4 weeks.

Ultimately, the most important aspect of any training program is the results, and Elevated Canine delivers. Alonso's behavior has improved significantly, and we have gained valuable insights and techniques to maintain his progress at home. The transformation in Alonso’s behavior is a testament to the effectiveness of their training methods.

My husband and I recently sent our golden retriever puppy with Nick for a 6 week board and train program. Our fur baby has since returned home with us and I just have so many good things to say about our experience with Nick and Elevated canine. Tucker went from a puppy who was difficult to bring around family and impossible to take on a walk due to his high energy and pulling on the leash to a much calmer and well behaved dog. We now have the freedom to bring him with us as a member of the family wherever we go because of the board and train program. One of my biggest concerns was that Tucker would lose part of his personality through training but I have found that if anything we have seen more of his personality come out in more positive ways since coming home from training. Throughout the whole process Nick not only gave us plenty of updates with pictures and videos of Tucker throughout the whole process but also made sure to continue to check in even when he came home. At pick up it was easy to see how much care and attention went into Tucker during his stay, he was clearly comfortable, well cared for and happy when we picked him up. Nick also did an excellent job coaching (and “training” 😆) my husband and I on how we can continue to make sure Tucker is successful at home as well. We are so incredibly thankful for the training that Tucker received from Nick and are so happy with how much positive change we have seen since sending him. This is hands down the best investment you could make for your furry family member.

Maggie was a scared little girl that growled and barked at everyone and everything. Nick has worked wonders with our beautiful fur baby, giving her confidence with the training that he provided. Nick was patient, answered all our questions, and was available when our dog returned home, if we ran into any problems. We were given all the tools necessary to reinforce Maggie's training and now have a happy and well adjusted dog! Thank you, Nick
