So I use to take my well keeped indoor pup to Whitney for regular grooming appointments. (I never had any problems up until recently) On June 26, 2020 I had taken my baby to Eclipse grooming for a usual cut. My pup had an appointment the week prior though Whitney the groomer reached out to me asking if we could reschedule due to her being backed up which I didn't mind and agreed. My appointment was booked in the morning that day though due to having a dental appointment I had to push it out to mid day which Whitney was nice enough to work with us on. I took my pup in while the groomers were working on other fur babies & they took her right away without the usual conversation of how I would like it cut. I didn't think anything of it & left. When I came back to pick her up her cut was not the usual cut we get for her though I said nothing of it because like all hair does it will grow back, I then take my baby & go about my day. As we're lying in bed I ran my fingers on her back & felt something move. I rushed her to the bathroom to check what it was & come to find out she was COVERED IN FLEAS. I WAS LIVID. My dog went straight from the groomers, to the car, to our bed with our 2 other pets! I could not believe that this had happened! So I messaged Whitney to let her know & she told me & I have the messages to prove for, "Oh no! I’m so sorry! One of the other dog had fleas & they met before I could put him away. If you notice more bring her in & I’ll flea bath her no charge". What made me even more upset was that SHE KNEW prior to me taking her home & did not mention not one thing about it. Not even a "hey keep an eye out this happened" or "hey I gave her an extra bath just in case because..." though she told me NOTHING! What suprises me even more was that it wasn't just 1, 2, or even 3 fleas NO. It was 10+ fleas. So with that said I knew it wasn't for a brief moment that these dogs interacted. When I tried to turn the other cheek & accept her offer of a bath that day she told me that she had already left & it would have to wait till tomorrow morning. When she told me that I refused to allow my dog to sit at home with fleas around my other pets to just create a revolving infestation of fleas. I had to go the store & pay more money than anticipated off of ONE grooming appointment just to bath ALL MY PETS & buy treatment for my carpets & bedsheets. I once again reached out to Whitney to express my frustration about the situation & all she offered was a bath and a sad excuse of an apology. Not even refund me for the appointment & what I had to spent for shampoo/treatment. At that point I decided to give a review of the appointment on her Facebook page & immediately after it was removed & she angrily messaged me stating that she tried to fix it, she apologized, & that I didn't need to do that especially with her anxiety. She even had the nerve to tell me had I came to my original appointment time my dog would have never been in contact with the dog with fleas, when she was the one to reach out to me to reschedule because she was behind the Saturday prior. I could not believe that she felt the need to express herself the way she did making it seem as though I was at fault & the fact that she did not want me to voice my experience was upsetting.(Especially coming from a business) I explained to her that it wasn't ok even more so being that we are trying to save as much as we could due to Covid and because we were usure if I was pregnant at the time. (Fleas and pregnant women are a NO) In the end she gave me my money back SOLELY for the appointment though Whitney had me put $100 down the drain on supplies to fix the problem she caused. Had she informed me ahead of time about the issue I would of took extra precautions to avoid spreading & possibly causing a risk to me and my families health as well as my other 2 pets. I will NEVER recommend her to anyone ever again only because of the way she failed to handle the situation promptly, professionally, & due to lack of sanitary procedures with animals.
