Ive worked with quite a few dog trainers. I have to say that Vic Gasser is definitely one of the very best!
She is extremely knowledgeable, and a fine teacher. Vic is able to break down large behavioral issues into smaller ones, leaving the client feeling positive and confident that the desired behavior from your dog, will be achieved.
She also provides her clients with written instructions via email, which is extremely helpful. I highly recommend her!

I recently adopted a rescue 2 year old Dachshund and going in I knew she had some behavioral issues (we were told excessive barking). As a life-long Dachshund pet parent, I know from experience they can be pretty stubborn with pretty strong hunting instincts. Boy was that the case. Unfortunately, she'd been in an apartment for 2 years and hadn't been socialized much and was very reactive with noises, people and other animals. So I knew I needed help!

I found Vic through the CCPDT directory as she was in our area and we were able to start one-on-one sessions. Vic is so nice and teaches reward-based training techniques and I'm learning the skills that will really make a difference in affecting our Dachshund's behavior. I've never worked with a trainer or behaviorist before but after 4 sessions, we're already seeing signs of improvement with greeting new people and excessive barking and we're working on the walking skills and vet handling.

I knew going in these problems would take time to address, but Vic is a joy to work with and always very positive. She's professional and punctual and writes up a nice summary and call to action report after each session which helps you stay on track.

I highly recommend Vic Gasser if you need to address any behavior issue with your pet!

My husband and I would 100/100 recommend Vic for dog training. Her compassion, knowledge and professionalism was exactly what we needed for our playful lab. She was extremely patient with us and gave us the tools we needed to work on skills at home in-between lessons.

Not to mention, leading up to our wedding, Vic was also able to train both of our dogs and get them into flower girl shape so we were comfortable with them being around our guests and walking down the aisle. Vic was able to accommodate working at our wedding venue including handling and transporting them to and from the venue day of. It was a huge relief to know they were safe and comfortable throughout the day.

We can't thank Vic enough for helping us train our two pups and are so grateful to have found her.

In the four or so sessions I have had with Vic, I have found her extremely gentle, kind, loving, understanding and eagerly wanting to help. She gave me an exercise to do with my dog on the first session that changed our life. My dog is just so much less afraid of walking and new places!
she offered us even more tools to have him go even further with feeling happier and more comfortable but I just haven’t been able to spend the time to practice yet but I look forward to at some point. I love that she’s also helped me understand the importance of my dog's sense of well-being, his experience of safety, etc.
