My dog is very sweet and beautiful, but she is, in my opinion, not a toy. She appears to be the product of a toy and a miniature. When I got her she was not groomed and her ears were matted. She was very dirty. She said that it was because of a storm messing up her shop, but the groomer said that it didn't seem that she had been groomed in a bit. I was showed a supposed genealogy to explain her size, but the dogs that are supposed to be her parents are two toys (who actually ARE small) that are black and charcoal grey. MY dog is blonde with apricot markings. I really don't believe that these two tiny dark dogs produced a now 15lb blonde offspring. And I paid 800 dollars for her. She said that she hadn't had a lot of luck selling her...well I know why! She is too big to be a toy and too small to be a true mini.
This is of course my opinion, and may or may not be the case, but I do know that my dog is 15lbs and most definitely NOT toy size. This means that I can't ever breed her with confidence, because of her size and in my opinion, uncertain lineage.
All this said, I love her very much and she is beautiful and healthy. I just wish her details were more clear.
