Dogwood kennels and cattery has been a blessing for us and our pups, Charlie and Ruby. It’s comforting to know that our babies are well taken care of when we are out of town or in a pinch. Highly recommend, staff is super!

FIVE PAWS up! All three of my dogs are rescues - so they all have unique needs. Rob and his staff are amazing and my dogs LOVE it at Dogwood! They are excited to get there and sad when it is time to go.
And if you need training for your dog - Rob is THE best there is!

Even though I had to make a change of plans and my dog didn’t end up boarding, I was impressed with how willing they were to accommodate my dog who has a tumor and is on palative care. It’s not easy finding a facility last minute with a dog who has a long list of care items but Ashley reached out to me and made me feel so comfortable. Will 100% be using them in the future and as an animal care professional myself I was just impressed with the fact that they were willing to listen and understand my situation. Highly recommend just off of the customer service alone!

This was my first time boarding my German Shepherd. I am very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to accommodate my pet’s needs. He was able to play with lots of different dogs and came home exhausted so I know he was kept occupied. The kennel offered their shampoo service which was definitely needed as he was a bit dirty when I picked him up. But I wanted to bath him myself. I will use this kennel in the future as I also think their pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Dogwood Kennels. The staff demonstrated extremely poor communication skills and consistently failed to return my calls. This lack of responsiveness made the entire experience incredibly frustrating and stressful.

When entrusting a kennel with the care of your pet, reliable communication is essential. Unfortunately, Dogwood Kennels fell far short of expectations in this regard. I would not recommend their services to other pet owners based on my experience.

I recently boarded my dog for a week at Dogwood. I called midweek to check on how he was doing and was told he was doing great, eating and playing hard. I specifically asked if he had chewed his dog bed as he g he as done this before, and was told he hadn’t at all. On the day we were picking him up, we were running late and I called to check on their hours. I was then informed that he had chewed his bed on the second day he was there ( this was BEFORE I called the first time and was told all was great). Then I was told he had developed a pretty bad cough the last couple of days. This was the first I was being informed he was sick. At my arrival the girl told he there had been some cases of dogs with upper respiratory infections there while my dog was there. I now have a very sick dog who has no appetite and very lethargic. I will NEVER board him at Dogwood again and discourage anyone from doing so. I should have learned after his first stay not to board him there, as he came home with a bad cough then also but seemed to heal quite quickly. It is a shame that these animals are not cared for the way we think they are when we drop them off. I’ve since called and asked what their protocol is when a dog shows signs of illness and was told they call the owner on the first day of symptoms. (At this point the worker didn’t know my situation and thought I was just asking how they run their business). After questioning how they do things I explained how my dog came home very sick and wanted to speak with the owner. I was told I would receive a return call, but have not yet.

After touring a few boarding facilities, and finding out about this particular one, we decided to tour this one as well. We HAVE to be able to see where our babies will stay. No exceptions. We had one facility that wouldn't even let us pass the front desk. We met Rob, the owner the day we came. We have two rescue dogs and we were extremely hesitant to leave them anywhere. Our largest dog has never been boarded or even been to a dog park, so to say he is not socially trained is truly an understatement. After talking to Rob and explaining our concerns and fears, he reassured us that they would be taken care of extremely well. Not gonna lie - it was so hard to leave them (especially him) for the first time. That was two weeks ago. They both did fine and we would recommend this beautiful facility over and over again. Thanks to Rob and all his staff for taking care of our babies - Duke and Bella.
