Shanni helped us through the course of 6 1:1 in-home lessons to better understand our dog needs and help channel her arousal at home and on walks! She shared useful techniques and exercises, and helped reduce arousal at the contact of other dogs by bringing her own dog to have controlled encounters right in front of our home or in the park.

Oh my goodness! Dogs in Harmony has been such an amazing help with our rescue pooch. Shanni is working with us 1:1, giving us the tools and techniques to help our dog be less anxious. He has improved so much since we started working with her. Every time he relaxes around strangers, I want to cry for joy. We never thought he'd get there, but Shanni assured us he would. And she wasn't wrong. We still have more sessions ahead, and I can't wait to see where we can go from here! Not only that, but our pooch will be thrilled, as Shanni is one of his all-time favorite humans! Highly recommend.

We scheduled harmony school for our 12 week old puppy and were amazed with the results! He listened more, went straight to the crate and didn’t whine as much while confined, and it helped that he was tuckered out after class and slept the rest of the day. Shanni and Brenna were communicative and kind and I fully trusted them with our puppy. We also got a private lesson with another trainer Alisha who gave us some great pointers and exercises to do at home. Looking forward to private and group lessons going forward, 100% was worth it and would definitely use their services again if we got another dog.

I can’t recommend Dogs in Harmony enough!

My husband and I got our first dog together and decided to invest in training asap. Dobby (the puppy) started at Harmony School a week after we got him, at 15 weeks old. It was the best decision we’ve made yet. The skills he learned have already started paying off as he interacts with the world around us (loud sounds, other dogs, walking on different services, grooming, loose leash training, impulse control, etc).

We had such a great experience working with trainer Shanni. She was patient, knowledgeable, kind and answered all of our questions; also our puppy just loved her!!! We are looking forward to starting Harmony Academy, and working with Shanni to take his training to the next level. 🙂

I feel quite confident that if you decide to enroll in Harmony School, you will not regret it.

My puppy Bella learned so much from Harmony school! She was always very excited to see Shanni and play with other puppies at the school.

After three weeks, she now behaves much better than before (less biting and listens to commands).

I have a border collie puppy, and it was very important for me to get her in training and socialization opportunities ASAP. I signed her up for Harmony School when she was just under 3 months old, and have continued on with Harmony Academy lessons since then. She’s now 7 months old, and she has grown so much in the past 4 months socially. I’ve learned how to be a better leader through effective training techniques, and as a result, she is more comfortable around new dogs and new environments.

Class sizes are limited so that you get more personalized feedback. There’s an open line of communication for questions, and there’s opportunities to work on issues that a dog parent is facing during in-class exercises.

I highly recommend Dogs in Harmony for any puppy parent looking for an early opportunity for socialization, and for any dog parent looking for training and engagement with their pups.

Shanni is an amazing trainer. She's also great at teaching people how to communicate with their dog in the most positive way.

All the classes I've attended had a maximum of 4 pups. So not only do you learn and practice key concepts in each class, but you also get feedback that's more personalized to you and your pup. This is so much more effective!

My puppy really benefitted from the variety of classes offered here. Enrichment and shaping are incredibly helpful tools that are barely mentioned, if at all, by most training schools.

I also liked that the same class was available more than once a week and at different times, so you can plan your training based on your workload, and not worry about having missed anything.

Shanni responds to emails/texts reliably and she is easy to reach. She takes symptoms seriously, which is so important when you're waiting for your puppy to get all the required shots. She was quick at adapting her services to the lockdown.

She has a lot of information on anything dog-related, for example contacts for agility and search & rescue training, what toys are better-suited for your dog's needs/nature, and puppy anatomy and development.
